My kids were quite happy to receive this set as a birthday present... They said they loved the Star Wars Rebels’ series and Major Vonn Reng’s ship was the coolest tie they’ve ever seen. The set is easy to build, sturdy and strong and the figures are OK. I bought ours here at Amazon for 60 dollars. Insane seeing folks asking more than 100 dollars for this set.

There is a reason why Lego won the title of best toy for the 20th century. They are simply the coolest toys probably ever invented. The way they spark imagination is truly amazing. I have 4 boys and 3 of them have been Lego fanatics. This was my youngest sons 12th birthday and I made it Lego themed and he loved it. It doesnt hurt that he is also a Star Wars maniac as well. He had very little time before he had to pack to go home to his Mother, so he only chose one Lego set to put together, and it was no surprise when he chose this one. He took careful time to put it together so he could savor every moment, and it was a pure joy watching him do so. I want to thank Lego for always being a great way to entertain my children so thoroughly. Well-meaning and thought-out and just plain FUN. Like I said, Its Lego, what else do you need to know? It sells itself.

Done a lot of Lego products with my grandson over the past few years. Most of them where they have licensed a movie or something to make it a little more interesting. Some of them are better than others in the end product either looks just like the movie or so so representation of it. This one is absolutely perfect when youre done with this it looks like you have a store-bought toy off a tie fighter. A lot of the projects we do just sit on the shelf or get incorporated into something else this one since we finished it he cannot put it down for two seconds. The directions are good just like all LEGO products and the end result is a really sleek cool toy. If you like Legos or have a family member who likes Legos you will be the envy of the year if you get this.

I always take my grandsons for their birthday weekend. We shop, eat...movies, etc. as this year my 6YO grandson’s birthday was preempted by Covid19, we did a FaceTime and had lunch together, and then shopped amazon! He loves it! And LEGO’s are always a good value and lots of entertainment!

Soo this is a pretty addition to my Resistance v. First Order collection. I love the TIE Interceptor since the original Battlefront II on PSP. This is an ever better version than the original! Its like a mix between Vaders TIE Advanced with the wide body, wide arm-to-wing connection, and back half of the wings with the TIE Interceptors front half of the wings. That glam red is sooo much more attractive than the typical primary black and secondary grey. I also like how this, like the other recent TIEs, integrate the projectiles; it is discrete, actually part of the authentic look, and doesnt set off easily, unlike the X-Wings super-sensitive projectiles. The built of this TIE is solid, more so than the original First Order Tie thanks to that Technic internal structure. Unfortunately, that build also makes the wings a bit wobbly, but it is worth the exchange. I can swish this without worry. The minifigs included are of great value. Every minifigures comes with a non-projectile blaster (except the astromech), and each one is unique. I prefer that over the First Order Tie that, while comes with good army-building mini figures, has those officers and engineers which arent unique or intimidating. Im biased, though. Id want an army of Special Forces and Praetorian Guards for my Resistance army to fight a valiant but loosing battle against. Now the cons. This should have came with a dock to set the TIE in. The TIE tends to fall forward in non-flat surfaces, like carpet. In general, this TIE doesnt set as well as the X-Wings do. It would only take a handful of Technic pieces to hold the wings up. Then there is the original price. Wow, so not worth it. It is the most appealing set I have seen in a while, but in spite of that I would never purchase this at full price. I got it on the cheap, with a grand total of $41. I wouldnt spend more than $45 on it. The piece/$ ratio is terrible, as has been the trend over the years. I cant in good conscience suggest getting this at full price, even though it is my favorite Star Wars set.

I find that the red color makes it difficult to travel to worlds where I don’t want to be recognized. However, if you want to make a statement when landing on a Death Star (versus the run-of-the-mill gray, black and white transportation) then this is your ship. And given the tenuous lifespan of Death Stars, this ship will get you safely away fast, reliably and in style.
