Litter Genie Refill (1 Pack)

Prior to buying the Litter Genie Cat Litter Disposal System my wife and I resorted to saving plastic bags and eventually buying them by the roll. What we hated was how we had to immediately take the garbage out or somehow the next morning the whole house would stink no matter how tight we tied the bag. With the Little Genie, we simply scoop the litter into the Genie. When it fills (usually about 1-1.5 weeks) we simply open the case, pull some slack, use the built in cutter, tie a knot and take it out. Then we tie one more knot and its good to go for another week. We just added this to our subscribe and save so will be getting these automatically going forward.

These litter genie refills definitely work as planned. Super easy to peel off the plastic tab, tie a knot on the bottom and pop in the genie and you’re ready to scoop. Plastic is durable so the litter stays contained and never rips open. Before my litter genie, I had to search for plastic grocery bags that didn’t have holes.... not an easy task anymore.

I bought a Pet Genie a few years ago after a friend raved about her Litter Genie. I loved it! I live in an apartment with 3+ dogs (I am also a dog trainer/sitter), and the dumpster is a good hike away, making it far easier to toss a bag of dog poo into a waste bin. And I have an elderly dog who uses pee pads. The genie contains all of the smell, and has seriously simplified my life. Then, suddenly the refills for the Pet Genie were getting harder and harder to find! I purchased a the Dooli adapter to use their bags, but just wasnt happy with it, and even tried garbage bags. After much deliberation I ordered a Litter Genie refill, and I am SO happy to find that it fits! Its the one that consistently contains the smell and is the easiest to dispose of.

Im so impressed with these bags. The only thing I dont like about it is that you have to cut it and retie it as you go along. I can suck that up for the odor control. I fostered a litter of kittens who were very sick with the smelliest poops on the planet and that is when I bought the litter genie and the refill bags. Worth every penny. Now that the kittens have all been adopted, I am still using these bags for my 1 cat.

The Litter Genie is the best invention ever! These bags are pricey but they last a long time. Keeps the smell away. I have two cats and we change the bag about every 10 days or so. Will continue purchasing these bags. It was always sold out at Target, so now I just order it here on Amazon.

im a rescue mama, and im also legally disabled so being able to keep the litter box at least reasonably clean without necessarily having to dump a trash bag every day is appreciated. this works pretty well for me, and when i had my bbs pet-sat this summer my pet-sitter was yeah, these are good setups, a lot of my clients have one and i appreciate that you do. basically when i see the last one sitting out im time to order another.

Using the Litter Genie refills truly keeps in the odor even having a cat and 5 kittens. Does not have to taken out to the trash daily. I had him smell a walmart plastic bag with dirty litter and then smell the litter genie bag. He was truly shocked there was no odor even after I put it out on our back patio for an hour in the hot Arizona sun. Definitely highly recommend.

I love the Litter Genie. It saves me a dozen trash bags a week, and makes the cats bathroom smells better. The cartridge has good enough design, and the pull down bags are thick and great quality. It takes a minute to remove the litter filled bag, and install the new one. The only complaint I have are the cartridges are a bit expensive. My cat is very active and produce a lot. So a genie cartridge definitely does not last two months. But thats not a flaw in the product itself. So I still give this a 5 star. Another thing I havent figure out is when the bag would run out. I dont keep track, or I lost track all the time. So I do cheat by using regular 13 gallon bags in the Litter Genie. Using the garbage bags is a good way to save, and its always well stocked at home (if not, grocery bags can be used though a bit short). But the garbage bags are much thinner, get caught in the divider sometimes, does not shield odor as well, and cost a few minutes to install. So I still purchase the refill cartridge from Amazon. Because Im not sure when the included bag would run out, I keep the empty cartridge ring and use it with garbage bags when I run out of included bags. Heres how I use the cartridge ring and included bags: Follow direction to install bag. Tie the bottom of the bag with a rubber band. Heres how I use garbage bags: Open up garbage bag. Install bag similar to original bag with the opening wrapped around the cartridge ring. Add a rubber band to secure garbage bag around the cartridge below the black top. One thing I do pay special attention to is when I install/remove bags on the Genie, I always wear disposable gloves. I remove litter and replace bags every week, but dont wash the Genie every week. Because theres no way to avoid litter coming into contact with the pail, I always try to play safe.

The refills that I’ve received so far come in good condition, and after setting it up a couple of times it eventually gets easier to get rid of and replace. My only complaint is how pricey they can be. 1 refill currently runs for $12.99 and 3 at $22.46 (not counting taxes and fees), but that’s the price to pay for making litter cleanup a bit more convenient. Aside from that, it has never failed to work as intended!
