> 3 dayA little pricy for an outdoor smart plug but it works reliably and integrates into the Lutron caeseta hub. I had a bit of trouble initially connecting it to the hub so I plugged it into an outlet next to the hub and it was recognized. Then I moved it outside and it continued to work

> 3 dayAfter having returned a couple of less robust outdoor wifi-enabled smart plugs that just didnt work, thought Id give this very pricey option a try. Although its a bit bulky, the unit feels very solid, should indeed survive Ohio winters. But as the product description more or less makes clear, there is no scheduling/ remote function built in to the unit, you must buy the Lutron Caseta Bridge to get that. So I did that, too, bringing the combo price to around $160. Better be built like a tank for that price! The Bridge installation was anything but easy, resulting in the one-star rating there. The Bridge saw my wifi but refused to accept the password to connect, and so could not load the software update that is required for operation. I got online with the Lutron chat rep, who very patiently went through a 45-minute process first to get the Bridge to connect to my network, then to be seen by the Lutron servers. Finally got it up and running after many steps. So five stars for Lutron service, but that kind of odyssey should never have been necessary to get the smart plug to do what it is supposed to do in the first place. Oh, and the schedule programming is a bit wonky - you have to create one entry to turn the device on, then another one with a different name to turn it off. Would never have understood this without the chat reps help. So if you have the patience to endure what could be a prolonged setup process, this is a great unit. If you want ease of operation, maybe youll be luckier than I was; maybe not.

> 3 dayHad an IDevices outdoor plug but after a failed firmware update it no longer made contact with my router due to distance. This one solved two problems. 1) It is flawless with HomeKit control and automations. 2) the IDevices unit blocked my second gfci receptacle but this one is straight out so now I can use the second outdoor plug for Christmas lights. If you have landscape lights, this is an amazing device. It responds instantly. Also, don’t waste time on the typical landscape light controllers. If I pull in the driveway after the HomeKit automation turns the lights off(midnight), the geofence automation in HomeKit turns them back on for easy house access. Great product!

> 3 dayWe invested in a lot of money with these.… The set up was easy, but few issues: you still have water/outdoor elements breach plugging whatever you plug into it need a flat/slim plug into gang box to be able to close an outdoor gang box most importantly, it works erratically and inconsistently.... even electrician spent an hour and noticed same thing... some mornings we were shocked the timer worked, and some I had to manually shut off ... same going ON ... they are OK ...

> 3 dayI use this with Homekit and it works great! I needed a plug I could use with my 3d printer in the garage so I can turn it on and off remotely. Its pricey but it has never not responded yet.

> 3 dayThe Lutron Outdoor Plug was a quick and easy install. I have several Cassetta dimmers and smart plugs, and addicting this outdoor plug to my systems was very simple. Just plug it in and the WiFi bridge immediately located it and I just added it as another one of my smart devices. I wish the wire (that actually plugs into the electric outlet) was longer and not just “pig-tail” length, but that is the only real shortcoming I have found … and it might not be a shortcoming for most others. Overall am very satisfied.

> 3 dayLutrons stuff is expensive of that there is no doubt. However when you look at the construction and durability of a device that will be outside 24x7 it is second to none. Setup with the Lutron app was a breeze and even connected a pico remote to turn on/off the deck lights remotely.
