> 3 dayI already have the Lutron Caseta system to control several switches. This also integrates nicely with Apple HomeKit. I was unhappy with some other outdoor WiFi switches that always became unresponsive and had to be power cycled to get back on the network. I use these to control my two pond pumps (including automation) and they have been flawless.

> 3 dayMy house has about 100 HomeKit compatible devices, so its very important that they work reliably. I tried smart switches by Eve, iDevices, and Wemo, but they didnt always respond when I asked Siri to turn them on or off. However, this Lutron Outdoor Smart Plug works great every time. It responds quickly and reliably, probably because it uses Lutron Clear Connect wireless rather than Bluetooth or WiFi. I like this switch so much that Im even using it indoors. Its a little bulky for indoor use, but the reliability makes it worth it! Keep in mind that youll need a Lutron Caseta Hub to use this.

Greater than one weekInstalled to switch garden path lights but the wireless signal does not reach the switch unless it is plugged into an outlet right next to the house, My transform for the lights is installed in a shed next to the house, too great a distance apparently.

> 3 dayThe Lutron outdoor switch has much better range than any that use WiFi as a link to the switch. The Lutron is accessible via WiFi so it works well with Alexa etc, but it uses a bridge to communicate to the outdoor switch. It’s much more reliable for long range (distance) applications. Now if Lutron will add dimming capability it will be perfect.

> 3 dayLike most Caseta stuff, this is priced at the higher end of its market, but it is a nicely put together package, that seems like itd take a decent soaking. The line lump style is great since it separates the outlets from the device, offering more layout flexibility when attached to walls, and an option for water sealing the couplings, which is not the case with the standard sockets-at-the-bottom devices. I cant speak to its range, I happen to have a caseta lamp dimmer on the opposite side of the wall, so mine is only a few feet away from the mesh.
