The very same book that I had as a kid. Great purchase for my babys library.

One of the most beloved book of my childhood! A grand ride through Paris with Miss Clavels class of well-behaved girls...and Madeline! Always a joy to re-visit and share with youngsters (or simply the young-at-heart). A true classic.

My daughter has asked me every night for the past week to read Madeline to her. As soon as I finish, she wants me to start over again. A wonderful classic that should be on every childs bookshelf.

I must be living on Mars, as I never heard of this book or the series before. I bought it for my granddaughters third birthday along with the doll. When the book arrived, I thought it was silly and difficult to read....some pages witten in rhyme, others not, some sentences just ended abruptly. I didnt think shed like it, but I was immediately proven wrong! She loved it and wanted nothing else read to her! Every time we got to the page where Madeline was crying in bed because of her appendix, my granddaughter had to hold up Madeline the dolls skirt to show Madeline in the book the dolls scar. She would then tell the book that all would be well. I will definitely explore other books in this series.
