Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Nintendo Switch

This review is for the folks that are unfamiliar with this product. The game is a non-realistic arcade racing game aimed at all ages. You can play in various modes against local split screen players, alone or online. The game has a great feature for inexperienced players that keeps them in the pack no matter how poorly you play. My 5 year old, his mom and I all play this game and it is a blast. You dont need to play online or even with others in order to enjoy. Its just a joyful game.

This by far is the best in the series in my opinion. This version is exactly the same as the wii-u version but with all the additions and dlc included. Lots of little additions added and the UI seems more streamlined. My online experience has been perfect also. Only one disconnect that seemed to stem from issues with my own Wi-Fi router. My wife also has this game and both of us are able to play with each other on our respective Switches anywhere in the house flawlessly. The game runs very smooth and with no graphical bugs or noticeable lag nor frame rate drops. Plays amazingly in both docked and handheld mode. On a side note, my copy did not arrive on time and customer service helped ensure it arrived timely thereafter.

This was a big hit at Christmas for my favorite 6 yr old. A video game with so many characters to use, and so many ways to build cars to race in. This game is really fun and easy to play with once you get it figured out. You could spend hours playing and maybe not see all the chances to create something new.... everyone in the Mario universe is here plus a ton of others represented. Such a cool game!

Will never be as good as Mario kart Wii but it’s fun to play. I highly disagree with their decision to make the sides of tracks push you back towards the course. It gets rid of the skill aspect. If you drive off the course you should be punished for driving off the course. Not handicapped back on the course. But it’s still fun nevertheless

Ive always loved Mario Kart since I was a kid playing it on Wii. Since I had my Switch for over a year now I finally got this on sale. Its Mario Kart but even better! Ive watched alot of my favorite YouTubers play it alot and I loved watching them play it. Now that I have it finally, I still love and adore it. If you love racing games then youd enjoy this game.

One of my specialties is playing Mario Kart. Ive been playing most of my life, and this game already looked good even though I originally had it on the Wii U. It is still worth it, but that is what I think. Others might not. If you like, or even love Nintendo products, this is the game for you. If youre just now trying out games, still is a pretty good pick to buy. If you do not like the racing and competitive genres of games, then maybe do not buy this. Overall, multiplayer is fun, online is fun, and I have been playin since I got it!

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (I did not try the standard WiiU version) is the greatest Mario Kart since Double Dash. Perfect gameplay, great characters and balance, tracks, and a huge array of vehicles, wheels and gliders to choose from. If I were to take from it, however, would be due to the fact that all characters, GP levels and tracks are available from the get go. A little challenge and unlocking helps a long way. Also, with that many characters, some feel forgettable. Do not get me wrong - these are simply factors that I believe could provide an even better experience. Mario Kart at its finest. And we have probably played it for days, and the replay value is still there.

I am not a gamer, but I love playing Mario Kart. Even if I get my character handed to me when I get worst place, because of getting stomped by my husband, its a fantastic game. We purchased the Switch and Mario Kart and on Christmas morning, it was game on. Fun for all ages. Nothing negative to say. Grew up playing the SNES mario kart. Its come a long way. Highly recommend.
