> 3 dayWeve used it to control all of our indoor Christmas lights and tree. I have zero complaints about the hardware. Setup is easy, especially if youve used any other Meross device. The app allows for device schedules based on sunrise/sunset. Creating scenes is the easiest way to turn multiple devices on/off. For instance, our Christmas setup is accomplished by setting each device to turn on at sunset, with a scene (with all devices off) set to run late at night.

> 3 daythese plugs are mostly great. i’ve been using 4-6 of them for a couple of years now, and they connect easily to homekit so no complaints there. however, they increasingly become disconnected from homekit at random times. for instance, i’ll turn on a lamp using homekit and when i go to turn it off, the plug isn’t responding. so then i need to remove the plug and go through the whole process again. it doesn’t happen with my other homekit accessories. it’s not the end of the world, but it is annoying

> 3 dayThese things pair with HomeKit instantly and easily, be sure to take a picture of the QR code on the plug before you plug it in, then just copy and paste it from your photos to HomeKit app.

> 3 dayThese power adapters connected easily and directly to HomeKit, and did not require a meross application to configure. They respond quickly to control inputs, and are similar size and shape to all the other outlets I have. The price was excellent, and delivery was incredibly fast.

Greater than one weekI have had a battle trying to set these up with HomeKit. Meross provides a ton of troubleshooting methods such as restarting the router, turn iPhone on/off, switch Wi-Fi to 2.4GHz, factory reset the switch. I have never been more frustrated setting up a HomeKit product. After all this troubleshooting I could only get 2 out of 4 to pair, and after all this troubleshooting I have no idea what was actually successful. The two that are paired work great, but my oh my was getting them setup a huge pain. EDIT: once they are paired, they are a breeze, and an awesome product that is great for the price.

> 3 dayI have no issues with Meross smart plugs. I recommend them 100% over WeMos if youre making a choice. Their customer service is also fantastic. The QR code rubbed off one of the outside switches and they were able to recover and send it to me to put it back on my network. Meross smart plugs all the way!

> 3 dayThe plug was easy to install and integrate to Apple’s Home app. After the first one, I spent less than 2 minutes each on the following ones. Unfortunately, 1 out of 4 in the pack failed. It would not be recognized by my home network multiple times, and I noticed the power button was not able to manually switch on/off a connected table lamp. I contacted Meross and provided the HomeKit ID of the defective plug and finally gained approval from its customer services to send me a replacement under warranty (!?). The new one works fine.

> 3 dayWith the first one, I had some problems with the setup. I then attempted to add a different one and had no problems, so I reinstalled the first one and it went smoothly. I installed all 4 plugs, and they are working great. The other important thing is that if you move from one to another outlet, all you have to do is rename it. I liked these so much I just purchased the outdoor plug and thinking about getting the switches. The interface is really nice since I installed using the Meross app and Alexa, Google and Apple apps were automatically updated too. I will always buy this brand to automate my house.

Greater than one weekI wanted a HomeKit compatible outlet and this nicely reviewed product fit the bill. There was a learning curve of a few tries to get a connection. It is very frustrating that the the sunrise or sunset option in automation is off by hours.

> 3 dayAfter about two weeks two of the outlets just stopped working. Completely offline. I tried to reset and re-install. One worked, the other didnt. Emailed the company. They did email me back and asked for additional information. I replied to their email, but it bounced back, numerous times. I then tried submitting a new claim through their web site with no response. Bad service and apparently not a very good product. Would not buy again. Update: The company did finally get back to me (from my re-submittal to their web site). To their credit, they did send me a replacement outlet. But since then, things have been bizarre. Support has emailed me several times, but every time I try to reply to the support email, it continues to bounce back. First they contacted me asking for me to send them the MAC address of the defective device. Since the MAC address isnt written on the device, the only want to know it is to view the information when connected to a network. Considering that my complaint was that the device fell offline and wouldnt connect to the network, there would be no way to do this. Honestly, it felt like a test to see if I was trying to scam them. Later they asked me to send the defective device back to them and they would reimburse me for shipping. I replied to their email and indicated Id be happy to send it back if they send me a pre-paid shipping label. Of course that email bounced back. There are several things wrong with this. First, Ive never heard of a company offering to reimburse for shipping. Reputable companies who want their product back pre-pay shipping. Secondly, since I apparently have no way to contact them, even if I trusted that Id be reimbursed (which I dont), I have no way to contact them with the reimbursement amount since their email doesnt appear to work. That happened a few weeks ago. This morning I received another email, asking me to send the device back and they would reimburse my Payal. I bought these throgh Amazon, not Paypal, so they dont have my PayPal info, nor is there any way to get it to them. To top things off, another outlet failed after lasting about an hour. It just randomly fell offline. Another thing Ive noticed is that with about half of the devices, if youre using an apple device (iPhone, iPad) to set it up, even if you selected the non Homekit option, you still have to use Homekit, even if you just want to control the device through the Meross app or one of the other supposedly supported apps (like Smarthings). Im not going to even bother trying to replace this new defective device. Its just not worth the hassle and the harassment from this really strange company.
