This product is designed to bleed off static charges. As the packaging states, this product will not protect your equipment against a direct lightning strike. Be sure to follow electrical codes and safety measures.

I cannot attest to the ability of this product to protect against all surges, however, we have had some pretty severe storms and the radio is still operational. Also important is that Ive experienced no noticable insertion loss which was a concern. Ill definitely add more when additional antennas go up. The little bit of added peace of mind goes a long way.

This is a heavy-duty gas-discharge lightning/static arrestor. It is heavy and of solid contruction. I liked the good-sized ground strap Philips screw. This arrestor appears to be at least as herky as my Alpha-Delta ones. HIGHLY Recommended.

Very good and I recommend it.

Have the Lightning Arrestor inline. Fortunately, no need for it yet. As most of us know, there is no real protection, except to disconnect your radios. Its built very good.

Looks nice.. But I hope it is something I will never need. Just a little peace of mind.
