This unit connected to the WiFi quickly after plugging it. Works with Smart Life app in addition to the manufacturer’s app.

I used both the double outlet (MP23W) and single outlet (MP22W) products by Minoston to control Christmas lights in several parts of my yard. The setup was painless--I used the Android app to connect to the outlets and subsequently connect them to my router. Setting up timing routines was also fairly easy once I worked out the not entirely intuitive UI of the app. These will also register with Google Home if thats what you want. Oh, and theyve handled living outside in the Wisconsin winter with no issues whatsoever.

It worked well, until it didnt. Only 3 in use and its dead. Of course, past the return date. **I contacted the seller, explained the situation and a replacement arrived today.** If nothing further happens then my review will remain 5 stars.

Needed a flat plug for my outside outlet in order to be able to close the cover. Had to return.

Set up instructions dont explain Smart Life App, but it works. Connect your smart phone to the 2.4GHz network you want the plug to connect to. Open the Smart Life App and click + to add device. Plug in the smart plug. If the white LED isnt blinking, then push and hold the on/off switch for more than 5 seconds. Release the button and it should connect in 10 or 15 seconds. Instructions state not to expose it to rain, but it is IP65 rated. Ill risk it.

We had an old outdoor fountain that didnt have a power switch, you just had to plug it in and unplug it. With this, we can turn the fountain on using the switch on the device. Even better, my husband set it up with our lights that are also wifi compatible, and all we have to say is, Alexa, turn on the patio. and the lights and fountain are all on together. Love it.

Ive installed many wireless smart WiFi outlets. This was the first one made specifically for the outdoors and it set up correctly the 1st time using the Smart Life app. Working well so far! My main wish if I were to buy another one would be that have a smaller form factor (size). It would be super to have the entire unit fit into the weatherproof box.

Purchased for outdoor Christmas lights (deck) and so far has worked as advertised. App is easy to install and use. I purchased a second one a few weeks later for the front lights. The only hang up was that the plugin was inside a house light fixture straight up and the cord is at an angle so took a bit to get it plugged in.

One doesn’t need to be a rocket scientist to setup and work these. I know some have remembered the commercial “ even a caveman can do this.” It works and even with Alexa.
