Expensive but accurate

The Screw Pitch Gage is nice, much better than the one that came in the Tap and Die Set. It could be much nicer if it was made from stainless steel so that it wouldnt have to be packed in stinky oil. I like that it has both SAE and Metric sizes.

Some of the threads are ground flat instead of a point example 10 tpi , I wouldn’t have know but used it today and the gauge don’t even reach the bottom of threads compared it to my old starrett and there was a few of the medium course threads also like they ground the points off to much kinda odd from Mitutoyo but I guess it happens sending it back and will buy a new starrett gauge instead

As they say, it’s Mitutoyo. Nice quality and accuracy. The two locking screws are much easier to adjust so the thread gages are easier to position.

Excelent product especially this version for mm or in threads, great surface finish, well protected by oil and a good box and plastic bag as package. Great tool . AAA+

Spend the extra money to get a good one! I wasted a whole hour going back and forth trying to find out thread pitch on a bolt that ended up being 1.5. It was because my cheaper gauge was off! This is a quality gauge.

I own multiple thread gauges - some metric, some SAE, some Starrett, some unbranded. This single Mitutoyo gauge has a broad selection of leaves (which will probably accommodate every size Ill ever encounter) and is nicely made.

I use this tool to measure threads on bolts for my mechanical work. It is a precision tool, easy to use and accurate.

I had never bought a Mitutoyo product before. Now Im impressed. The retail photo provided for this product is inaccurate by showing black plastic knobs instead of steel. Since I prefer steel, theres no complaint. The machining quality is great. Numbers are easy to read because theyre stamped into the steel, and not etched like lower quality tools usually are.
