Greater than one weekIncredible, accurate, bought in 2019 and battery still going strong in 2023. Probably been dropped about 50 times and still work just fine.

Greater than one weekI was hesitant to buy these because there are so many fakes out there. But after a lot of research (well 30 minutes and 3 sites worth) these are the real deal. Sold and shipped by Amazon is also a certified retailer of authentic mitutoyo calipers. They should come with an sr44 battery and the battery itself should say sr44 not just the packaging. The fakes reportedly have lr44. It should have yellow tag around the know and come in a sealed plastic bag. All around these fill flawless. Originally I thought spending 140 on calipers was absurd especially since my need for them doesnt require .0000 accuracy. But the over all quality of these is unmatchable. Prior to these I was using the igaging calipers. Wont go back

> 3 dayWhat can I say, I LOVE THESE CALIPERS!!! Ive had around 12 sets from various makers over the past few years and every set has had a week point whether it be jumpy, inaccurate, constant need to rezero, rough sliding mechanism, extremely sensitive to pressure, you name it. Not with these! I primarily use them in my reloading and occasionally to get a rough measurement on parts I make on my lathe. If you are thinking about getting them just go ahead and do it, and save yourself some time and aggitation. If I had bought these to begin with I wouldve even saved a few bucks overall.

> 3 dayI own three of these in varying lengths, and they are fantastic. They are accurate and batteries last a long time. Worth the money.

> 3 dayI read a number of reviews that said other cheaper brands were just as good and there was no reason to pay more for a Mitutoyo. Bought the Mitutoyo and an iGuaging to compare. While they both may be accurate, the Mitutoyo has significantly better fit and finish, sturdiness, etc. Everything about it feels quality. Kept the Mitutoyo and the iGuaging went back.

09-06-2025I have this one for the workshop. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LPIWAYO/ I wanted a second one for inside the house. So I bought this caliper. Knowing what I know now, Id have spend the extra money to get the one I bought before for 2 main reasons. 1 - This one doesnt auto-power off. 2 - The buttons are small and practically flush with the plastic face. Neither of which was an issue with the other one. The other doesnt even have a power button it powers up and down automatically. Functionally it works fine and seems well made. Id just rather not be annoying by trying to press buttons it should be easy to press. Or opening the carrying case and noticing it was still turned on.

> 3 dayThis caliper is well made but I find it measures exactly the same as a $20 unit from Aldi. So probably not worth the extra money.

> 3 dayI have been using a dial caliper for hand loading for years. I recently decided get a digital caliper to make it easier to read measurements directly when using attachments on the jaws of the caliper. The first digital caliper I got was an inexpensive (~$25) instrument from a different manufacturer. That was a mistake. The inexpensive caliper was essentially useless for my purposes. Its consistency in reading was terrible. Frustrated, I decided to just spend the $ and get a good instrument (buy once cry once). I decided on a Mitutoyo 500-196-30 - I was not disappointed. What a caliper! Very accurate. Very consistent. Very easy to use. Very easy to read. Very good battery life AND uses a commonly available inexpensive battery. I cant find anything that I dont like about this caliper! I dont usually write reviews unless the product or customer service is extraordinarily good or extraordinarily bad... This caliper is that good - worth my time and my $ (and yours too!) Buy with confidence!

> 3 dayI am a hobby machinist constantly overhauling flat head engines. Having a repeatable accurate vernier caliper is a must. This is a quality tool at a reasonable price.

> 3 dayI researched a number of digital calipers before purchase and made the conclusion that the iGaging ABSOLUTE ORIGIN 0-6 Digital was a pretty good unit for the price. I also saw the most of the folks felt the Mitutoyo was top of the line, but may not be worth the additional cost - $95 vs $40. I purchased the iGaging ABSOLUTE ORIGIN 0-6 Digital calipers but I am returning them because of the display, which I have not seen discussed on this forum. I also purchased the Mitutoyo calipers. When comparing the display on the iGaging ABSOLUTE ORIGIN 0-6 Digital vs the Mitutoyo you very quickly see the reason for the price difference. I expected to find a quality difference between the two, but was blown away by the clarity, size and quality of the display on the Mitutoyo. (500-196-30) I cannot fault the iGaging ABSOLUTE ORIGIN 0-6 Digital as it appeared to be accurate and pretty well made, but for a tool that I plan to use for many years, I decided the price difference was worth paying. Bottom line, you wont be disappointed in the accuracy of the iGaging ABSOLUTE ORIGIN 0-6 Digital, but if you can afford the Mitutoyo calipers, go for it. For those that are concerned about fake Mitutoyo calipers, the one I ordered came from Amazon LLC, and the calipers came in a sealed package that had to be cut open. Not the box mind you, but the actual packing that contained the calipers. All the included paperwork, box battery etc. said made in Japan. I dont think for a second that the calipers I received were not genuine.
