Greater than one weekOur vet recommended a cage light for our green cheek. This looks nice and tidy on the cage, seems to work great, and is definitely bite/chew proof (shes tried destruction of he light, but to no avail).

> 3 dayI wish Id known about the importance of this kind of light before. My parakeets are in a big cage right by my balcony door and they get a lot of indirect natural light. I really like the dimming feature. It turns from dim to bright at the scheduled time and does the reverse at dusk. Programming the time was a tiny bit awkward for me at first, with multiple button presses to get to the right setting section (hour or minute) but all good because I now because I got the hang of it. Was not able to install at the top of the cage due to my cage design so installed outside the cage toward the bottom and it works fine.

> 3 dayI like the light but they hardware included to attach to large bird cage, is too short. It does not account for the diameter of the bars in a cage for a large bird. I have it attached to the wall right now as I cannot attach it to the cage, which was the main reason I got this product in the first place.

Very easy to install on top of the cage. She has shown no interest in chewing, nothing is in her reach inside of cage. Very pleased with the purchase.

Our ChewGuard PetLight comes with everything you need to safely install and power your lights, their own power supply, mounting hardware and stainless steel cable ties. Please note that the light does not have a power switch and must be connected to a common lamp timer so that your birds receive a consistent amount of light. LEDs are also suitable for humid environments and are safe from any liquid you might spray while cage cleaning.
Installation
M&M lights can be mounted both inside or on top of the cage by attaching them securely to the bars with the provided mounting brackets.
The power cord MUST be secured using the supplied stainless steel cable ties. Stronger beaks can bite into the stainless steel conduit if they can get their beak all the way around it. Also, dangling wires can be dangerous to your birds, be sure to secure them to the cage.
