Would give 5 stars except the power adapter that came with the light is very poor quality & caused the light to flicker on/off when plugged into a timer that had switched to off. However, we had a spare compatible adapter we replaced it with & it works great.

> 3 day***UpDate*** the power cord started cracking at the plug & exposed the wires. It stopped working so I had to buy a new cord. So it only worked for about 2 months. (Pictures added). As you can see from the pix my Parrotlet loves to show off underneath this light. It barley gets warm so there is no issue with him hanging from it or pecking at it. His cage size is H30 x L32 x D21. I was concerned about a red wire exposed at the end of it so I wrote to the seller, they got right back to me & assured me that it is normal & OK. Im very satisfied & highly recommend!

Greater than one weekBeing a bird owner for the past 13 years we have had other lights that were for reptiles and are more dangerous as they dont provide the right light spectrum for birds. I was thrilled to find this for a reasonable price. Our 8 year old Cockatiel is more alert and stays up longer after having this light now for the past week. Since it is LED light, it is less dangerous than other bulbs. I would recommend anyone who owns birds purchase this light.

Our ChewGuard PetLight comes with everything you need to safely install and power your lights, their own power supply, mounting hardware and stainless steel cable ties. Please note that the light does not have a power switch and must be connected to a common lamp timer so that your birds receive a consistent amount of light. LEDs are also suitable for humid environments and are safe from any liquid you might spray while cage cleaning.
Installation
M&M lights can be mounted both inside or on top of the cage by attaching them securely to the bars with the provided mounting brackets.
The power cord MUST be secured using the supplied stainless steel cable ties. Stronger beaks can bite into the stainless steel conduit if they can get their beak all the way around it. Also, dangling wires can be dangerous to your birds, be sure to secure them to the cage.
