Greater than one weekWe currently have 4 of these and use them for our Richardsons Ground Squirrels and our Prairie Dogs (prolifically adept chewers... demolition experts). The lights really do seem to help with mood regulation and behavior. The lights are bright, sturdy, and well constructed. The price is a little intimidating, when looking to eventually buy lots of units, but if they have the staying power they claim (and I suspect time will prove they do), they will prove a great investment.

> 3 dayLove it, great light, love the cord being covered so the bird can’t bite it. Easy to install, my bird loves it.

Greater than one weekI so wish I could do 5 stars for this product! The brackets for mounting it didnt fit on the light itself and certainly didnt fit when I attempted to mount it on the cage. I had to use the metal zip ties included which, I only received one long one so I couldnt even mount it properly that way. The front end is secured with the longer zip tie and then I secured the back end by using the shorter zip ties included to secure the cord tight enough it holds the lamp up. Would love it if it they had proper brackets for it to mount, Im just lucky I have a smaller conure who cant bite through the metal zip ties or cause problems to it like some might.

> 3 dayAfter thorough research of the various types of light available, I decided on this one to replace an Arcadia which needed a new bulb. The Arcadia and similar lights promote that their bulbs produce UV-A and UV-B which they feel essential for indoor birds, however my own research leads me to believe that UV-B is a no-no and can cause eye damage. These LED lights produce no UV light so no harmful UV-B (and UV-A goes through glass so our parrot gets some as his cage is near a large window) and are otherwise full spectrum with a high Colour Rendering Index. It seems well made and well thought through in terms of design. I also bought the timer from the same company. The main thing is, the parrot loves it! He rarely used to sit under the Arcadia, whereas with this one, he will actually go back to his cage and sit under it. I also feel he is happier to be left in his cage in general since installing this light, seems it makes for a more relaxed and contented parrot! Highly recommended.

Greater than one weekMy bird avoids the light. I am not sure why. I think it is too bright for him.

> 3 dayI love these lights! I was unsure if I would like them so I only ordered one, when it came in I had to order the second one. The cords are protected and long, so they go from the top of the cage all the way to the bottom. I did tie it to the cage instead of using the metal clips it came with. We travel so I wanted to remove the lights and take when we travel. They must be used with a timer as there is no off and on switch. But for me it was no problem I already had timers from their old lights.
