> 3 dayPurchased for our juvenile pair of Indian Ringnecks. I didnt realize how dark their 30 x 30 cage was until I added this light. It is sturdy, very bright and as advertised. It really made a difference in showing our their plumage but it was purchased to benefit their health. Very pleased. This replaced a pedestal, free-standing cage light which was inadequate. I placed it on a bar above the cage to avoid any possibility of them biting it and to minimize the chances of it getting wet from bathtime. The bar is plugged into a smart outlet that turns on at 8:00 am and off at 8:00 pm to ensure a consistent light-dark cycle. The birds are well rested and ready for action in the morning and when that light turns on over their cage, they start their plaintive peeps to make sure we uncover the cage and give them their veggie breakfast. When it turns off at night they peep until we cover the cage and then chortle their thanks before heading to dreamland.

> 3 dayTHIS IS A GREAT LIGHT. THIS FIXTURES IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN ANOTHER BRAND OF LIGHT I HAD. THIS FIXTURES LIGHTS UP MY QUAKERS CAGE QUITE WELL. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS LIGHT TO ANYONE THAT WANTS THEIR BIRD TO HAVE MORE LIGHT.

> 3 dayI bought 3 of these, 2 / 18” and a 24” with chew guard. As others said the U shape brackets could be a little longer, but I got them to work after bending the metal strap that mounts to the U brackets, took a while. I have A&E, HQ and California cages, fitted all 3 with brackets. All 3 birds seem to like it. Sun Conure and B/G Macaw colors got more bright and vivid, and calmer. The Amazon likes it, he is calmer too. I have the lights on a timer for 6 hours, 2 PM to 8 PM. 2 PM is chop time. All 3 lights are mounted on top and outside the cage.

> 3 dayAs much as I love this light it has only lasted 4 months before being nearly destroyed. I have a almost 2 year old blue and gold macaw who gets very creative in destroying new things. I set it up as instructed but she has still managed to peel the cage/protector part off and unscrew the “buckles” that secure it to the cage (double parrot cage kings cages). Due to her repeated mischief there are very few led lights that are working on it and several of the metal bars are bent and broken. She is only in her cage for up to 8 hours at most in a day with her usually out for longer on a normal day. Have to say I love it but macaws exceed expectations. Update: I have had the light for almost a year now and it is completely dead. My macaw managed to peel off the metal guard to the point I cannot put it back on. I decided to leave the light on the cage to provide some brightness but she has finally made it so not a single led will light up anymore. Kind of a waste of money...

> 3 dayPerfect! Looks great. Fits my cage perfectly. I havent attached it but it came with tools to do so. I just sat it on top of my cage. The chew guards give me peice of mind that my birds wont get electricuted. I love that I dont have to worry about bath time and misting too.

> 3 dayIts a great light It took a little time for my Green Cheeks to get use to it but now they rather stay in the cage. I am disappointed that the power supply doesnt last and have to be replaced sooner then expected . I read complaints and I notice that it does get hot. I think its worth getting then buying a better power supply.

> 3 dayWe just got a baby cockatiel. Our breeder recommended a full spectrum cage light for her, to prevent hormone spikes and encourage healthy behavior on a set day/night schedule. Super easy to use. I think it does help her...I mean, who wants to sit in semi-darkness all day? So shes got light when shes in her cage(which is only for a couple hours a day...shes out and about mostly).
