> 3 day4/2019 Monoprice Access Series 12 Gauge AWG CL2 Rated 2 Conductor Speaker Wire/Cable - 250ft Ive purchased falsely labeled wire in past so I always do weighing and counting: Entire spool with wire and cardboard spool = 7.14Kg 12 length with both conductors and all insulation = 26.7grams so seems reasonable that there is actually 250 on spool. One conductor stripped of all insulation = 8.7grams Number of strands in one conductor = 65 strands Mass of 12 or 30cm of bare conductor (65strands) = 8.7grams or 98% of expected 8.888grams which is well within my scale and measuring precisions. Spools is well constructed of heavy cardboard and plastic.

> 3 dayAt the time that I bought this 250 spool of 12AWG oxygen-free copper (not copper-clad aluminum) wire a year or 2 ago, it was the absolute best price I could find. As a matter of fact, I believe it was cheaper than other brands 14AWG OFC wire anywhere else. So the value is great. As for the wire gauge being true to size, I believe it is, or extremely close to it. Ive bought wire from multiple sellers/brands in the past, and a lot of times they advertise their wire one or two AWG sizes larger than it truely is. Due to that, I needed 14AWG wire but ordered 12AWG to make up for any upscaled false advertising. Regardless, this wire ended up being pretty true to size or very close to it. I used this to connect 4 big custom speaker enclosures that I hung in the upper corners of our 3-stall garage/shop. I still have some left that I occasionally use for automotive purposes, and I usually cut/pull the white loom/sheathing off first. However if you do remove that white sheathing, I dont recommend using it in a place that will either rub other objects that could wear through the insulation from vibration or movement, or melt through from heat. The wires have a thinner, cheaper insulation. I also dont really recommend using it in outdoor areas, and that includes on vehicles in engine bays or exteriors, because it wouldnt be as protective against the outside elements. The copper will likely oxidize much sooner in those applications. For indoor speaker wiring applications, its great.

> 3 day500 feet later, wire appears to be good wire, will not know for 45-60 days, still wiring, then sheet rock, texture, paint, tile, then awesome surround sound!!!!!!!! Wire is beefy and well twisted.
