These paints give just the right amount of sheen to up your acrylic painting a notch. I consider them a good value for the money.

This is a set of acrylic paints in metallic shades. The paints come in transparent plastic 36 ml tubes with screw top lids. The tubes are packaged in 2 plastic trays inside a sturdy cardboard box. I am having a lot of fun learning how to paint with this set. I am taking a beginner nature painting class and learning to paint butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators. These metallic paints are just what I needed to capture the metallic shades on the insects and feathers. The paints are easy to work with, and the clear paint tubes make it easy to see what shade is inside and how much remains. The paints take a bit of work to clean off of brushes, but that’s to be expected with acrylic paints. Overall, this is a great set for painting natural, metallic, or glass objects.

Wow. What a beautiful finish on these. I find Mont Martes metallic acrylics have some of the best finishes of any metallic acrylics that I have tried. They dry so shimmery and beautiful. This is actually the second set I have owned. have tried other brands and I dont think I will veer again from this brand. I am in love. No regrets at all. Could easily recommend.

Just doodling in my art journal with these Mont Marte Metallic Acrylic Paint and love, love them! So beautiful and that shimmer is gorgeous! You dont notice it as much shimmer until it dries. I love the Rose, Turquoise, and the Sea Green is to die for. I love color basically and Ill probably have these paints gone in no time. You dont want to paint an entire painting with metallic paint but to mix them with opaque paints so you have a contrast which makes the metallics stand out. These paints glide on easily and once dry you can see the shimmer which is stunning! LOVE, love, love these paints!!!!

I have been experimenting with how to use the metallic colors in my art journal. I find that they are most effective for me as final touches rather than using them to start a page. I have experimented with them as paint for stamping, and mark making. In the above picture, I used the metallic paints with various stamps to make some of the foliage. I also use it on tissue paper to make markers for use as collage pieces. For my taste, the metallic paints are not as attractive as background on a page. Christine

The quality of paint is definitely great for beginners like me, I am not sure about the professionals. The metallic sheen is simply charming and the work looks professional even in the hands of amateurs like me. Also the variety of metallic colours available is quiet extensive and being in tube rather than in jars helps a lot to paint without much wastage.

this is a really good set to have on hand for holiday painting or other special projects. The bottles are actually a little larger than expected, much larger than you usually get with mixed sets. There is a wide range of colors. The only thing I wish they had done is put a red in the mix as I got this for Christmas projects, but that is really all that is missing. This would make a great gift item for someone who does a lot of crafts.
