> 24 hourI love this bowl! It is beautiful and tells me exactly how much water my kitten is drinking each day. It is sturdy. I bought it in June. My kitten has pushed it as he jumps and plays all over the place. It has not broken or even chipped. I would definitely buy another one!

> 24 hourWe have several Necoichi bowls now. The cats like them all. I cant say that having elevated food and water bowls has cut down the vomiting one of them does, nor has it magically stopped the other from sticking his paw in the water and flicking water around the room. But theyre nice sturdy, attractive bowls I recommend (always good to find ceramics not glazed with lead). I just wish this company would have put drainage holes in the bottom stand because its gross to open the dishwasher and find a half cup of foul-looking water collected in the inverted base. I always wind up hand washing again after that, not just the bowl but whatever dishes the water sloshed on while I was getting out the bowl.

> 24 hourMy cats have always consumed lots of water. Lots. I was looking for a bowl that didnt absorb water (as pottery can); one that wasnt metal; one that wasnt huge or too small; one that was raised so my cats didnt need to bend down so low; and one where the entire bottom didnt sit flat on the floor (which tends to pull spilled water underneath the whole surface so multiple daily cleanups are a little more involved). This bowl, with its style of two bowls secured bottom to bottom (it is all one piece), is raised to a height that is perfect for my cats, and only the lip of the bottom touches the floor. Happily, its heavier than I imagined. The design has led to fewer cat-drinking spills. It has withstood two sturdy cats insisting each should drink first and never tipped over once. Its surface is non-porous. I dont measure water-use by partial bowlfuls, but there are measuring lines on the interior. Im about to buy another so my cats dont have to argue over who gets to drink first. They certainly seem fond of it ... Im not completely sure, but maybe fond enough to drink even more water. ;) To Necoichi (Cat1st), どうもありがとうございます (doumo arigatou gozaimasu). To those considering purchasing this, go for it!

> 24 hourWe bought one of these for upstairs because our boy has got some arthritis and he doesnt move as well as he used to. We would see him laying next to his water bowl and pull it towards him instead of go to it. This is still not quite tall enough for him, but its made a world of a difference. And the black measurements on the inside dont really do much for us in terms of keeping track of water, but it helps him because I think he has trouble with the depth perception so we used to find spilled water from him nudging the bowl trying to find there the water line is. Also, this is a raised bowl that he cant flip. Usually anything raised off the ground, he will flip it over. Its been a year and he hasnt done that once with this, so its been a worthwhile investment.

> 24 hourThese bowls (I bought 2 raised food bowls too) arrived on time and in good shape. My sis is having trouble with her cat drinking so little its constipated. I brought my 2 adopted cats home 1 week ago and they are drinking from this bowl with no problem. The bowl is well made and weighted properly that it doesnt tip over. Its larger than the food bowls and is marked inside where the water goes so I can keep track of water consumed. The food bowls are great also. My cats are large and its nice that they dont have to eat with their heads bent so far down. If by chance I break any of them, I would definitely purchase again.

> 24 hourI bought this bowl for my cats because I wanted to spoil them with something really cute. We tried different water bowls and the only one they like to drink from is a small ramekin. I read that cats have poor near vision and are not able to see still water, so I thought the colorful jellybeans at the bottom of the bowl would entice them to at least notice and drink more water… but it actually backfired on me. Those rascals tried to “fish” the jellybeans out of the bowl with their paws thinking that it’s some sort of food in there, making a huge mess with water spilled everywhere. I’m only knocking off the stars because… cats. You give them a perfectly functional and cute water bowl but you never know what’s going on in their heads sometimes!

> 24 hourWe used to have a water dish with a pump that needed filters. It was a pain to clean, and we could no longer find the expensive filters for it. At first, I was unsure about going back to just a dish because my cat never seemed to want to drink from a dish. I am glad that I listened to the reviews. He drinks from this dish frequently. It is much easier to maintain than the filtered bowl, and he has never tipped it over. The fact that it is raised makes it easier for him to drink, since he doesnt have to bend down (he is 13 years old). At first, I was concerned that it wouldnt be big enough, but he has never run out of water in less than a day. I dump and refill it every morning, and that seems to be sufficient. I am very happy with this dish.

> 24 hourI bought this to use as a kibble bowl for one of our older cats. Since that time, hes migrated to eating mostly wet food due to the loss of all of his teeth. (Poor guy!). What Ive found is that if I turn the bowl upside down, its easier to use for wet food as it keeps the food in a smaller and more contained area. If I put the wet food in the larger part of the bowl, the food just gets pushed around. The underside of the bowl holds a fair amount of wet food, and Im really happy with it. As an aside, we do have a few of the smaller bowls (ones that are marketed for food vs water), and those work great as well.

> 24 hourThis is the best thing Ive ever bought for my adult male cat. Hes built like a tank and hes had his old bowls since he was a kitten. the old bowls were ground level and he would lay and eat because he didnt want to bend his head at an awkward angle. Some times he would throw up. For a long time, I thought maybe he ate too fast or didnt chew his food properly. My cat loves the Necoichi raised bowls. I purchased the eating bowl along with this.

> 24 hourI have no idea what sets this bowl apart from other water bowls for my cats, but clearly there is some magic voodoo baked into the ceramic because my cat who literally never drank water before drinks out of this one. Before, I needed to add water into her kibble and wet food to ensure that she got enough water daily. I no longer need to supplement her water because she willingly drinks out of this one. I will be purchasing a second one because my cat has been so obsessed with this bowl that shes even gotten territorial over water when before she wouldnt give her water bowl a second glance.
