> 3 dayAll the wired connections in my LAN run through this hub which is used to distribute the gigabit fiber internet connection from my EERO Pro 6. The Netgear 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS308) handles this task effortlessly. I plugged it in more than 3 months ago and it has been running continuously without any drama. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayI have 1.2gb Xfinity internet service. I replaced my modem to take advantage of the extra speed as my other modem could only go up to 1.0gb speed. I have a firewall after my modern and it can handle 2.5gb as well, so I needed a switch to connect to firewall, and then from switch to my Eeero Pro 6E (which has a 2.5gb port). With all now running through 2.5gb port I dod get the full speed of my Xfinity, of course except to those devices with older wireless or 1.0gb network card. This switch is not cheap but I have always used Netgear for my switches and have never had an issue. So far I have had no issues with this switch. Everything is working well and Im able to take advantage of my 1.2gb speed or higher speeds in the future. Im happy with my purchase and would buy again, just hope prices for 2.5gb products go down over time.

> 3 day…I decided to buy this switch to be unsend in combination with a RAX40 or RAX120… but those routers have failed me and the switch now will be used with the new router form a different brand I purchase here. Netgear has the most horrendous tech support (I’m a Tech Coach and deal with this stuff on a daily basis). Netgear also has sneaky subscription services sold a long side the router - and if you don’t cancel it in time they HOUND you to pay for the next year. Not with me, and not with such a terrible tech support

> 3 dayThere really isnt much to say. Netgear makes really good equipment. This is nothing short of that. I needed to upgrade from a smaller Netgear switch and knew exactly what I wanted, the best. Plugged in and powered on. Works great

> 3 dayIve been using TPLink brand 8 port switch, but when I added another switch in the home network, its speed went down to 100Mbps. After restart, Gbps speed stays a few minutes then goes back down to 100Mbps. I got this Netgear switch almost at the same price, but much better quality in and out. It stays Gbps speeds constantly. Five stars to Netgear. Good job...

> 3 dayThis little Gigabit Ethernet switch is such a simple, well built, idiot-proof, rugged solution for adding additional ethernet ports just where you need them. When you dont want the extra features of a managed switch, but you need the ultra-reliability of NetGear equipment, this is the best choice. I only needed four new ports, plus one to connect to another switch, but I chose the eight port model over the similar five port model for future additions at this location, because the price is not much more.
