I had to replace our router and the new one only had 2 ports and thus ended up needing an 8-Port switch. This one works fine and is a good deal for home use.

I switched to a mesh router system in my house, so that meant I lost my typical 4 ports I have on the back of my usual router. Since I have so many devices, I decided to purchase this switch to have all my hardwired devices connected. So far ti has worked pretty well. The phone app is just for registration, not management. Just be aware of this!

Not much to rate - I got it for its simplicity and I got what I expected. I use this to split the connection from my Google Nest router to several PCs and it works flawlessly.

not what i wanted

Set it up last night works great on my home network I am currently using 10 of the 16 ports with no loss of speed.

i was pretty anxious while waiting for the unit to arrive, plug in all of the cat5 cables then plug in power, nothing...

Just moved into new home which was pre-wired for CAT6 Data in several rooms. Once internet service was installed by Comcast, I purchased Netgear GS308 Ethernet Switch to distribute internet/data to each room. The switch is compact and fits nicely in the control panel in the laundry. Easy to install--plug and go! I highly recommend the Netgear GS308 Ethernet Switch for home networks.

This switch works well for simple switching used in my home theater. However to think of this as a managed switch is a stretch. Those expecting tight port control or long term software support may be disappointed.

Pretty sad to find an American power adaptor in the box and not an Australian one.
