> 24 hourIve got a Quantum SuperLoader 3 LTO5 Autoloader that I use for backing up ~24TB of home data. The SuperLoader was noisier than the rest of my server equipment - This includes a ProLiant ML350G6 with 8 hard drives in it. I was spending time on Amazon trying to look at noise reduction blankets and the like before I thought to check why the SuperLoader was so loud. It was its Nidec 60mm fan. The SuperLoader is made to operate in a crowded rack with an ambient temperature of up to 95F. My SuperLoader sits on an Anthrobench with 9 rubber feet keeping air beneath it, in an air conditioned room that never gets above 80F. I dont need the 28CFM the noisy little bugger in it puts out. The ~18CFM this fan puts out, I figured, would be fine.

> 24 hourI purchased this item to replace the noisy fan currently in use. Not only is this fan quieter, I cant hear it at all! Fan arrived in a fancy box with three different sets of mounting hardware and three different wiring adapters. The additional items should allow this fan to fit almost all mounting conditions. I wonder what part of the purchase price paid for the fancy box? If quiet is your objective, purchase this fan! I recommend this product!

> 24 hourLike other reviews mentioned, this is very quiet. And being an overpriced brand name, will hopefully last well. But it doesnt move a lot of air, and my biggest objection is they didnt include screws. I had to go to the hardware store and of course they didnt have any #4 screws long enough... They include the wide screws you might use to mount it to a case, but I was replacing a CPU fan atop a heat sink. The previous one was only 10mm, and had screws, but this one is 25mm thick (which was fine cause I have the room for it) and did not include 30mm screws. Had a BUNCH of other adaptors, etc, that I didnt need, but not screws that were long enough to go through the fan.

> 24 hourChelsio NICs are great, but they often go upto 100+ Celsius easy, causing all sorts of issues. Thats when this little handy Noctua fan comes in play. It didnt add any noise (fan curved in BIOS) to my current setup, while stopping my 10Gbps SFP+ NIC from crashing.

> 24 hourWhat can we say at the point. They pretty much knock it out of the park every time. Its why everyone wants to replace EVERY fan with a Noctua. #eyeroll

> 24 hourMy Qidi X-Max 3D Printer have a noisy stock fan in its power supply (Meanwell SE-600) that sounds like a hairdryer running all the time. Replacing the stock fan with this Noctua was very simple, I strip the wires, and solder them to the 2-pin connector of the stock fan. The printer now is extremely quiet when idling, so much so that I cant even hear the Noctua fan humming along. Highly recommended for those looking to replace their 3d printers fans.
