Nutricost L-Lysine Powder 1KG (2.2lbs) - Pure L-Lysine, Non-GMO, Gluten Free

Ive been buying this product for a few years to use as a supplement for my cats. It was the consistency of sugar or salt and was easy to sprinkle on their food. Now theyve made it the same texture as flour or cornstarch and is impossible to sprinkle evenly on wet food. So totally USELESS. I feel like throwing the whole 2.2 lbs of it in the trash. SO VERY DISAPOINTING AND WASTE OF MONEY.

I have a cat that needs this supplement otherwise he gets congested and sneezes all day. I mix this in his water using a shaker and hes none the wiser. It works and its not expensive.

Got this because I adopted a kitty who ended up having herpes. By the time we figured out why he was always so sneezy, he had already given it to the other two kitties, so everyone had it. At first we were giving them lysine chews made specifically for cats but it has hard to find one that all 3 of them liked. Not only that, but we had to switch them food to chicken, beef and wheat free (for herpes prevention) and I couldnt find 1 lysine chew that didnt include some form of chicken in it. So then I decided to try this. Based on dosage amounts given by the vet, the two kitties that are on preventative status get 1/2 of the teeny tiny scoop worth a day. Monkey, my sicky kitty, gets 1 level scoop a day (which is 1,000 mg) so I give it to him in 2 doses. Any less than that and he gets sick again. This is the only lysine that has worked!!! The other two stopped sneezing immediately and havent sneezed again, and my Monkey isnt shooting snot rockets all over the house anymore! It takes barely any to make their dose for the day so it is easily mixed into their wet food. There is absolutely zero taste or texture so they cant detect it. Even my picky girl cant tell. I know...I tried it in my coffee the first day we got it. Its for people after all! And the best part... theres a HUGE tub of it! This is by far the best value of lysine for cats/animals. Now I feel stupid for buying all those tiny bags of treats. Lol

No taste or after taste are all for my family. Love that it is a little scoop for the serving size. Fantastic that it is powder so that my kids can benefit from this too.

This odorless, colorless, tasteless L-Lysine powder is the only thing I have gotten to work for my cat EVERY SINGLE DAY. Kitty is getting older and has developed the eye boogers in the warm months. Its a very common form of cat herpes that only cats are affected by. I put about a teaspoon a day in my cats wet food and it works wonders. I literally have to give it too him daily to keep it from getting out of hand. Ive purchased different types of treat treats with L-Lysine and my cat just wont eat them.... or he will eat them for a few days and never touch them again. This is the only thing that really works. I cant imagine the state kitty would be in without it. For a few bucks I have enough to keep my cat healthy for well over a year. Amazing product. Fast shipping. Dirt cheap. 5 paws.

I take 1g each of L-Lisine and Vit. C morning and night. The tablets are like horse pills and the powder disolves in liquid. No brainer.

I use this product for my feral cats and I mix it with hot water . It does not mix well. Some of it becomes very hard after putting it in water so I have to throw it out. Waist of money. I will pay more for a better product next time

If you take a lot of lysine, this is a great supplement. Has a weird after taste to my coffee, but perfect for taking bigger doses. I was taking the pills which are quite large so I don’t mind the slight after taste. This container will last me a very long time. Tiny scoop, big container.

My second order of Nutricost Lysine powder. Was cautious about buying such a large amount of product. Purchased to offset the high cost of feline lysine for my rescue cat. Really like the fact I can give him a higher dose for his virus which wreaks havoc on his immune system. Not to mention the mucous rooelike strands ejected from his nose getting everywhere during machine- gun sneezing attacks. All a thing of the past now and forever I hope. In fact, I’m even thinking of trying some of this supplement for myself. Very happy customer- thanks Nutricost!
