I add this to my cats food. Looks, smells and tastes exactly like the pet brand. The cat appears to agree. Better price per ounce and a larger amount as well.

Tastes salty alone but cant tell its mixed into a bowl of cereal.

I originally ordered the pet L-lysine for my dog who had warts, but it was expensive, $20 for 120 grams. This is a much better deal and I can use it too. I started taking it for shingles, drop a scoop in a glass of water. Mixes well and no taste. Im using 3 scoops a day (divided) and my dog gets 1.5 scoops along with thuja for his warts. For reference, he is 110 lbs.

This is a lifesaver for my cats. I adopted them from a shelter and both have the herpes virus causing persistent and lately often severe upper respiratory issues among other health issues. I started using this in their wet food and also added it to their water. It dissolves quickly, and they seem to drink more water now if it has the lysine in it. Since I’ve started using this, both of my cats are in excellent health with no more stuffiness, sneezing, discharge, difficulty breathing, etc. Also is great for my cat who has lots of food allergies because this is simply lysine with no flavor enhancers like the pet versions have. You also get a lot for the price. Very happy I gave this a try and wished I had purchased it sooner.

Absolutely the best Lysine Ive bought - Am SO happy with this! Love that its made in the USA too. I take between 1-5 grams daily in about 4 oz of lemon water. When taking 4-5 scoop dosage I can taste it. It should be taken with water and I sometimes dilute it with a little more water. Have bought many different Lysine products over the years. Sometimes the capsules were the size of horse pills. When taking 5 at a time it was not fun. I understand why many ppl cant swallow them. I tried cutting them in half once and it left a sharp edge scratching my throat. Fail.
