> 3 dayThese grips are outstanding! I bought my first pair back in 2012. I ride my bike for commuting to/from work and extensively in the summer and fall. I log several thousand miles a year and these grips worked great for 9 years. Just recently the grips started to turn gummy so I ordered my second set. Highly recommended!

> 3 dayAn upgrade old Grip Shifters on my mountain bike to trigger shifters required new grips. A search for something that could be easily removed when I get a new handle bar later turned up this product. There seems to be universal praise for the ODI Rogue and Yeti on the mountain bike forums. After going back and forth between the two, I selected the Rogue only because its a bit smaller diameter. Im very happy with the choice. These are very grippy for riding bare handed or with gloves. The cushy comfort is amazing. There is not much in the way of installation instructions on the package. you will want to assemble the clamping rings to the grip BEFORE putting it on the bike. Line up the ring with the grip and try to get the tabs to snap in at the same time (youll see what I mean if youre holding them). Putting the end cap on is easy if you spread the clamp just a little with a flat bladed screwdriver in the gap to open the diameter and snap it in. Just be careful not to scratch the aluminum with the blade tip. Then put the screws in hole, slide it in place and tighten in down.

Greater than one weekThese grips just arrived today and I already love them after a short test ride. They are VERY easy to install taking all of about 10 minutes. Before installing on your handlebars, place the two locking collars on each grip with a few whacks with the palm of your hand. There are cutouts on each ring which fit into like cutouts in each rubber grip. When thats done, just pop on the end cap. Finally, slide the assembly on your handlebar and tighten down the two allen screws on each side. If youre a perfectionist, you can align the Odi logo on the end cap horizontally before screwing down the outboard screw. Thats it! Youre done! The grips fit the hand well and feel somewhat tacky. The rubber doesnt appear to be super hard so they should absorb most road or trail shock. I highly recommend these grips because not only do they look sharp, they work well and should last a very long time.

> 3 dayVery easy to install. Dont over tighten. Grips are comfortable if you like a large diameter grip. Would be a bit large for a small or medium hand

10-06-2025I bought these grips after experiencing a lot of numbness and discomfort, even on short rides, with my new mountain bike. I switched from an XC bike to a trail bike, and I think the geometry has me putting a lot more weight on my wrists and hands, which causes them to go numb and be painful after a couple miles. At first I was disappointed because these grips didnt really seem to fix the problem for me. I had already tried a few different grips, so I just assumed numb hands would be part of the game now and gave up and left these on the bike. Fast forward a few months with some heavy riding and I can tell these grips are much softer than when they arrived. It was difficult to compress them when they were new, but now they squish and move a lot more - in a good way! I wasnt aware there was a break in period for grips, but these seemed to take a couple months to soften up, and now I really like them. I can also tell a huge difference between these and the thinner XR Trail Comp grips I was using before. The pain and numbness hasnt gone away completely, but it doesnt interfere with my riding anymore, and I suppose thats all I can ask for. I would recommend these grips for those who experience pain or numbness in their wrists/hands when riding, those who have larger hands, or those who just want a chunkier grip that grabs onto their riding gloves. However, give these grips a couple months to soften up. Once they do I think youll be very pleased.

> 3 dayThey absorb vibration well and are still holding up (a few months later), so I am satisfied with my purchase. I wish there were more color options though :(

11-06-2025Just got around to installing today for the 2021 race season and here are a few observations: - The end caps snap into place and when you tighten the screws down, that holds the end caps in place. Awesome./ - Each bar end has two clamps, one on each end to hold them into place. This is critical to safety when youre blasting down a trail and relying on your bar ends to lock into place. - There are 4 screws stuffed inside the bar ends which arent all to apparent when youre opening the set. - Theyre grippy, feel safe and cushy to absorb some trail vibrations. Overall, Im happy. Cant wait for Spring to come in Lovely Georgia / South Carolina to start enjoying the off road trails. Try some. Greg

09-06-2025Ive been on a journey with a 2003 GT Palomar. I didnt care for how it rode, fit or shifted, when it was given to me new in 2004. So after a few short rides it was put in shed. When it saw daylight for a ride in 2013, it was hit on the rear wheel by a car. The wheel was bent so badly that I was barely able to limp it home with the V-brakes removed and pads released. Then it went back in the shed. In 2021, it saw daylight again as I was going to junk it. I didnt think the cost of a wheel straightening, or new wheel and tune up at a bike shop was justified on a 20 year old $230 bicycle. But, it but it had less than 100 miles on it and seemed to be comparable with some new bikes in the $500 and up range. So I cleaned it up and figured Id try to fix, service and sell it. I watched videos and fixed the indexed shifting and straightened the wheel. Then gave the old GT a full teardown and service. On a test ride, it was smoother and quieter than anything Id ever owned and I figured no one would give me what I felt it was worth. It also had a Chrome Moly frame that I prefer over the ride of the newer aluminum frames. So, I decided to try to make it fit me better instead of selling it. I replaced the stock seat post with an Orign8 400mm and the bars with Bucklos risers to make the bike fit better. It fit better, but still wasnt right. So, I thought new grips would feel better and might help with the fit and handling issues. Based on some research and reviews, I decided to try the ODI grips. Especially as several reviews mentioned that they were comfortable and fit larger hands. Even though they were longer than the 100mm stock grips on the GT, I ordered them in. Hindsight being 20/20, I ordered these grips, before trying to simulate how a 130mm grip would feel on my bars with the grip shifters. When I simulated a narrower hand position on the bars during a ride, I found that the bike feel worse. But, when I tried a wider hand placement on the bars, the bike rode better. So I figured when the ODI grips arrived, Id return them and began searching for grips that seemed as plush as the ODI, but narrower than the stock 100mm grips I had. Unfortunately, I didnt find anything else I wanted to try. When the ODI grips arrived and I put my hands around them, they felt great. They are very comfortable. Firm, but have give when squeezed and are not slick on a bare hand. They are also larger, outer diameter, than my stock grips. But, they were too long for what I wanted. After looking at how the grips are constructed and how the locking rings work, I decided to try to modify them to meet my needs. I took a measurement, a deep breath and felt stupid taking a hacksaw to these brand new grips. A utility knife and file were also used to complete the job. In the end, the modification worked perfectly and the grips are maybe 80mm now. They solidly lock on to the bars, feel great and work perfectly with my Revoshift shifters. Ive done about 100 miles so far, bare hands and with light gloves, both on pavement and light trails. All has been good and comfortable. No regrets on this purchase and will be buying a set to replace the old Ourys on my 2006 Cannondale F2000SL. Please know the grips did not solve my riding and handling problems. I found more videos on riding position and eventually, after gradually lowering my seat about 1/2 and moving it forward about 1/4, the bike became a great handling, stable, ride. I also played with rolling my bars, shifters and brake levers slightly forward and backward. Hope this helps and ride safe.
