Greater than one weekAn Osprey backpack on my vine queue! There is a video from Osprey that shows how to use the backpack. This is just one more in my Osprey arsenal at home. Their all might guarantee is worth the price of admission. And these packs take a beating. One thing I do like about this one is the tie off for the walking poles and removable straps for the sleeping pad. I dont always need a sleeping pad so not having the straps cleans things up for me. 65L is a good size for a long trip and the frame on this pack makes the weight feel effortless. And finally a pack that has the internal hydration sleeve. I have a separate smaller Osprey I use for bike rides but I need one for the major trips. Just make sure it is empty before going through TSA. This should also be a good pack for train travel in those parts of the world that actually have good train service.

> 3 dayAlmost perfect. Only one complaint: if the pack is on, you can’t zip up the side pouches if you’ve unzipped them all the way. Need these pouches for quick accessible food, so it gets a bit annoying. Other than that, I love this pack.

> 3 dayI bought this backpack due to the solid reviews. This past weekend I got the chance to take the pack out for the first time - to Mount Whitney. I could fit a lot of stuff into the pack and it felt really comfortable when adjusted correctly. My big issue is that there is a terrible squeak that comes from the shoulder straps and the hip-belt with every step. It is super distracting and become downright annoying after a while - especially as you just want to hike in the wilderness with no annoying sounds. I checked out reviews after I got back and it turns out that this pack has always had an issue with squeaking. There is a post by an REI rep from 2018, where they claim that they fixed the issue with the packs from that year onwards. However, going by my experience and reading other reviews, it seems they have not fixed the issue ... or it is a QC issue. Some folks dont seem to have this problem. If you buy one, then just make sure you load it up as you would for your camping trip and walk around a bit to ensure that you dont have the squeak. For me personally, Osprey has had enough time to work on this, but it seems they havent been able to address this issue. For $270 before taxes, this pack is expensive - everything about it screams quality, other than this squeak. If Osprey fixed this issue, it would easily be a 5 star product.

> 3 dayWe were looking at the same backpack at REI and it was $40 cheaper to purchase on Amazon. Is the exact same as what we wanted.

> 3 dayOsprey makes a great, comfortable pack. I use this pack now more than my 36 liter stratos. Lots of room for my kind of cold weather hiking. Have not been backpacking with it yet. And, I waited awhile and got a good buy on it.

> 3 dayOsprey packs rock! Loved the size and functionality! Liked the extra pockets on the top! Would be nice to know if there is a accessory that could be purchased to use it as a day pack? Great warranty. I have several Osprey packs and wont buy anything else!!!!!

> 3 dayFinished the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim with absolutely no back pain thanks to the Osprey Atmos 65 and Leki poles. I did end up leaving my tent and rain gear behind, but still had about almost 30lbs fully loaded with food and water. Now I’m looking at the Atmos 50 for quicker/faster hikes. The 65 ended up having a ton of extra room despite leaving the removable top part..
