Patriot Steel - 1095 High Carbon Knife Making & Forging Steel 12x1.5x.125 (Four Pack)

Cut the billets in half and used to forge 8 smaller knives. Easy to use and a nice size to start forging with.

The steel is soft when it arrives which makes it easy to drill, cut, and grind. I found it to be easy to harden and temper. The knife I made came out to around 57hrc and holds a razor edge. Have already order more!

I got all 4 pieces however only one was stamped and the tape used to wrap the end ended up taking it off. Both ends were taped and the tape left residue when removed.

Everything arrived on time as described my only disappointment was my fault I seen them and thought the flags were etched into the metal I was hoping to be able to work around them and have the flags on my final product unfortunately it is only a stamp that wipes right off guess I’m going to learn how to put the flags on myself

The Steel is great. Just made my first knife and excited to use the other bars for more.

Didn’t use for a knife blank but as a bracket to mount my recovery boards to my truck rack. Ended up being the perfect size and since manufactured mounts start at $125.00 these fit the bill nicely.

Made 5 knife blades and they are great hold a good edge,great steel to work with.

First of all only received two bars instead of four. One of the bars has surface rust. I am very disappointed and was deliberately looking for steel made in the USA.

Good product, second time ordering but only received 2 of the 4 pieces of steel in this second order. Not sure how I can get the rest sent?
