Philips 468926 Hue White Ambiance E12 Decorative Candle 6W Equivalent Dimmable LED Smart Bulb (Compatible with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant)

These bulbs work very well, but they are just waaaaay too expensive at $30 each. I bought one for my outdoor lamp fixture, so I could automate it with Alexa, but I couldnt imagine buying 12 for a dining room fixture.

Use these in a ceiling fan. Work great. Use Alexa mostly. Respond first try 99% of the time. Have ordered more

Like the GU10 bulbs, these E12 bulbs are slightly longer than your standard E12. They fit fine in the fixtures I put them in but they are noticeable from an angle the old bulbs werent. Not a big deal but something that should be mentioned. Otherwise, a fantastic bulb in the hue lineup. I wouldnt mind a full RGB version of this bulb.

Do not buy these lights! These lights are good in theory but they are not ready for prime time in the slightest. The main gripe I have is that you cannot use your actual light switch to use these lights in the way you likely want to. For example, say you want a nice blue tinted light in your room rather than the more yellow tint the bulb gives off when you first put in in. Too bad. Seriously, turning the light off with your light switch automatically resets the color back to the standard yellow rather than the color you took the time to set it to. The only work around are to 1) use the app to turn your lights on and off (cumbersome and unintuitive) or 2) to buy their light switch (which, if you ever accidentally use your real light switch to turn the lights off, still means you must use the app to get them back to the color you desired. That’s ridiculously stupid for a ‘’smart’’ light.

Easy to install, and although they are slightly bigger than the average decorative candle light just like other reviewers have said, it seems to fit just fine in the small chandelier on top of my stairs, just quick disclaimer, it could be that it was just me, but for price I assume I was getting a total of FOUR bulbs like the other Phillips bulbs come, little silly me, how mistaken I was, it was one.... ONE damn bulb, still bought the rest though, but beware, it is one per box.

We have added the Phillips Hue system to most of our home. We use recessed lights, lamps, and candelabra bulbs in the fixtures in our home. The bulbs for lamps are not too pricey, but the candelabra bulb will set the customer back a few $$$ due to each bulb being so expensive. With that said, having the ability to turn the lights off from any location just by the use of phone is awesome. Each morning, I turn on the lights in the main part of the home before leaving the bedroom. You must you the bridge system to allow these to work.
