In our house, some people prefer a physical switch still for turning the light on or off. This was our solution, it makes our smart lights dumb again and it’s perfect. We can still control by app or voice, but now we have a switch as well. No wiring needed and works great for those lamps that are difficult to get to anyways. We bought a second for another room and both have been working great with no issues.

4 buttons, 1 dial. Each can be used to control a room or zone. Or, they can control one room or zone, using each button/dial to set scenes. I have already installed 4. They are great for zones or rooms that are visible from where you control the dial. I have a dial near my bed to control my bedside lamp, bathroom, sitting room and kichenette. I have another one at my door to control the same 4 zones. I also have 2 in my kitchenette: 1 to control the lights in all 4 zones and the other to control my kitchen equipment. Basically, I can control all lights from any zone using the dial, just like a phone would. If you are bothered by smudges on your switch, avoid the black one. They all work flawlessly!

Super easy to install and setup! I just attached it to a wall near the kids rooms and now have an instant, easy access light switch that they can use, too! Really quite convenient and highly recommend, albeit maybe wait for a sale as it is a bit pricey. However, it is outstanding quality. No issues at all with delays or misreads. Has worked instantly every time!

My home project earlier this year was converting a lot of my home lights to Smart lighting. For a while these were backordered and I had the simple one push smart buttons but mostly because I just couldnt access these. I wish I had started with these! I was able to obtain three of them. The plate was easy to install and looks nice with the existing hardware for a 2000s constructed house. It involves just screwing in a base plate and snapping on the top plate. The remote easily attaches with the magnet to the base and is very portable, attaches strongly to stay put but isnt so strong you have to wrench the remote off. Sometimes in the dark I have flailed at it and knocked it out of the groove but thats pretty infrequent. The settings are interesting - the top button can be set to either be a specific single brightness for a room/zone/set of lights, dimmer works well but is a bit slow in speed. HUE switches between a set of up to five scenes that you can program for the zone or room. I have my home exit switch which is in my mud room area set to turn off all lights after holding for three seconds and this easily lets me shut off all lights in my house on my way out. The HUE button is whats most convenient for my uses, because of all my rooms my bedroom has eleven separate lights (in a variety of towers, nightstand, accent lights, and torch). There are some times I just want to turn on a few lights when Im zipping in to grab something and dont want every single light on. The power top switch I have set to a nice incandescent color. For the scenes, I set the first one as a limited scene with just one tower and the torch so I get enough light to see by but dont have to turn on every single light. Multiple presses then go into my favorite four scenes afterwards. In essence this is a like a two button on switch where I can use the Hue to get to a more efficient pattern, all from one single switch site. I have these also set up for my living room, where power is the full shebang and then HUE is only a overhead light over my computing desk - which makes it super convenient to use one single switch site to control multiple looks of lights. Its so easy to swap things around once you have the switches in place. So far so good!

Keeps my fat but from having to give a reach around to the Christmas tree to plug and unplug it. Not sure what else to use it for but works well for why I bought it.

Hue switches (and devices) are just too expensive. That being said they are very reliable. This switch is the first device from hue that’s actually worth the price. You can actually control 5 lights from one switch. The 4 buttons and the rotary ring can each turn on and off lights separately. There is a little work to figure how to turn on and off a light with a simple alternating short press it by default wants a short press to turn on and a long press to shut off. This is because a second short press (and third and forth) wants to change scenes. It is possible to make it short press on short press off you just have to play with the settings and it not too intuitive. The only other head scratcher is the ring can only be program to one light ( one that has a button programmed to it or a separate 5th light). I figured there would be a setting where the ring would follow whatever light you turned on but no luck. Maybe it will come with a future update. Also there is no way to configure the sensitivity of the ring so it takes too many turns to turn a light fully on and off. Again maybe a future update (are you getting my hints Phillips). Other than these minor downsides the switch is very reliable and convenient and the battery life seems to be good unlike the single button switch for which I must stock up on batteries. I’ll update this if something changes.

It’s nice to have a physical switch even with the google assistant and the hue app I still like to just push a button if I want to. Looks good on the wall adhesive backing works good. You may need to update your hue app . Dims brightens on and off ,perfect . Battery on my older version switch lasted almost 2 years. Not bad.

I use this plug for my Christmas tree lights. It works great I can use my voice to turn the tree lights off and on. Im a little bit trashy so writing this review now in May my Christmas tree is still up and I still turn the lights on every night using voice commands to my Alexa Amazon echo thing that control my array of Philips hue products. Im not sure what I will use this plug for if I ever get around to taking my tree down. at this point its as close to next holiday as as last holiday so I may as well just let it ride and maybe take it down in 2024.

Voice control isnt always the best option.. If my father-in-law is staying over, I dont need him hearing Dungeon lights off! when its time for his daughter and I to hit the hay. Speaking of sticking it wherever, I love the idea of being able to place this switch anywhere, without regard for wiring.

This one has repurposed the bottom button to cycle through scenes, the top button is now on/off instead of only on/screen cycle. Much better experience.
