Greater than one weekIf you are new to Philips Hue, you will need a bridge to control these lightbulbs. Either the Philips Hue bridge or another smart home device that has one built in like the new Amazon Echo Plus. If you have a hub device then you are good to go! Works as expected right out of the box. Bulbs were detected in app with no issues. These were an excellent addition to a room with no installed fixtures that are controlled by a light switch. Love being able to set different tones for the level of white.

Greater than one weekThese are probably the best value hue bulb. Most of the light colors that you are going to want to use are in the warm white to cool white spectrum. I love the color bulbs but wish I had bought more of these instead.

> 3 dayThese work quite well; the white color temperature change feature is excellent. My only complaint is that the both product title and packaging prominently state that they are dimmable LED bulbs, but its only in the fine print on the box that it mentions that they are only dimmable using a compatible Philips dimmer. A standard in-wall dimmer switch or a smart dimmer like the Lutron Casétas will not work with these.

> 3 dayI bought one set 6 months ago and have been replacing almost every bulb in the house with them ever since. What none of these reviews seem to tell you is that you can control these bulbs without any bridge, you just have to have at least one Philips Hue Smart Dimmer Switch. The product description and instructions that come with these bulbs and/or the Dimmer Switch say that you have to have a bridge or Alexa, you do not. I have one remote per room. One remote will control multiple bulbs. There are Youtube videos with instructions on how to connect without a bridge, it is an extremely simple process - but even they do not say that while the bulb is turned on you can tap the on/power button again to change the color temp to one of the four in the product description. I found out by accident. I can only speak to specific bulb (White Ambiance). The four color temperatures are the third picture down on the manufacturers item page. You get everything from daylight to candlelight. I prefer the soft glow of the Relaxation temperature.

Greater than one weekThese are the good ones (white ambiance). They dont do every color of the rainbow, but they do go from warm white to cool white and dim very nicely. They work for such things as warming the lights in the evening and doing sunrise simulation in the mornings. They are not as good as the color ones (primarily because they are neither as bright nor as dim as the color ones) but they are good. I recommend them over the pure white once, which are always kind of a warm white.
