Greater than one weekThese bulbs look great when theyre working, but keeping them operating with Google Home is a headache. The bulbs are connected via Bluetooth without a Hue Hub, and every time theres a Hue app update it breaks the interaction between Goggle and the bulbs. They cant be found by Google and wont respond to voice commands or the Google Home app. Theyve broken three or four times in the less than 12 months that Ive owned them and it usually takes a trial and error of factory resets, cache clearing, app unistall/reinstall and physical light switch flipping to get them working again until the next update breaks them again. At the moment, theyre just extra expensive dumb bulbs because the only way I can turn them on and off is with the light switch. I hope they start working again sometime soon... considering I paid literally five times the price for these as I did for my Globe smart bulbs that have worked flawlessly since install over a year and a half ago.

> 3 dayThere are an array of smart bulbs to choose from. Even narrowing it down to a smart EDISON bulb--tons to weed through. The quality, size, look and functionality of this bulb are top notch. My fixture used to have an old-school Edison bulb in it. This new bulb is far prettier. The curlicue filament is beautifully complimented by a magnified, heavy glass section at the bottom of the bulb (second picture). Full brightness is very bright (lights up the whole room) and can be adjusted as low as nightlight (full 0 to 100% scale) Highly recommended. Worth the money. QUALITY look. Great functionality. Alexa-compatible.

> 3 dayI had no idea hue had Edison bulbs! These are just like the real thing and just as easy to install like the rest of hue products. I have a ton of hue products and they are installed all over the house. When I heard they had Edison bulbs I jumped. They look and give off the same light as the real thing. I will definitely be buying more of them.

Greater than one weekThese bulbs will last forever. Color looks great and easy to control through the app.

> 3 dayI have read that some people dont think this bulb is bright enough. Well, filament bulbs were never this bright, so what are you looking for? The color is warm white and gives a warm glow. If I wanted this bulb to be modern, it would be nice to have it change color temperatures. I use this in my pantry with a motion sensor to look retro in our old farmhouse. I also have the other shapes in a cloche and one in a block of wood with a socket in it on my desk ( World Market). I dim them down to the lowest setting and it gives off a calm, warm glow with the filament visible. I recommend this bulb to anyone that isnt looking for it to be a primary source of light, but more of an ambient accent.

> 3 daySet up was as easy as screwing in a bulb. Adding Hue lights are always also one of the easiest. My issue is the color of the bulb itself. Its way more yellow than Id like. Even when trying to change that, it still puts off a sickly yellow color. Im using this in a pendant outlet over the kitchen counter/bar area and it throws off the scene as it bleeds into the living room. I love the way the bulb looks; it looks just like the filament bulb I replaced, and its smart! But that color....

Greater than one weekAfter looking at a lot of similar bulbs, these looked the best, by far, as in the actual, physical appearance of the bulb and the spiral of LEDs in the center. Thats it. They cost over twice as much as the Kasa lights I usually get, and they dont change colors or even change shades of white. They just dim. But they are in a very visible place in my house, and I wanted them to look good, so five stars just for appearance. That said, if youre not going to put them somewhere visible, Im not sure why youd get these. Another thing I liked is that they use Zigbee, so with the Echo gen 4, they dont need a hub or app or anything. You just screw them in and say, Alexa, find new devices. However, the instructions dont actually say that, so it was a pain figuring out that it was that easy.

> 3 dayNice, but still very bright at 1%. Blinding at anything higher if you look at it directly.

> 3 dayI wish they offered build your own bundle prices, but this will have to do. Still great lights.

> 3 dayI love Philips Hue products but these didn’t make the cut. I bought them for my clear glass pendant lights over my island. They worked perfectly but the light they gave was too warm/yellow for the location. These, in my opinion, are better suited for accent lighting, not task lighting. They weren’t bright enough or “white” enough for the lighting most people want or need above a kitchen island.
