Greater than one weekThey are perfect for our new kitchen. I love that they look vintage but have modern functionality.

14-06-2025I love Philips Hue products but these didn’t make the cut. I bought them for my clear glass pendant lights over my island. They worked perfectly but the light they gave was too warm/yellow for the location. These, in my opinion, are better suited for accent lighting, not task lighting. They weren’t bright enough or “white” enough for the lighting most people want or need above a kitchen island.

> 3 dayAdds a great accent to my recent project. My one disappointment is that occasionally they change brightness at random without being asked to. Not sure whats up there but it only happens once every several days and they go back when you tell them to so I can live with it

> 3 dayOur new outdoor fixture came with an Edison bulb which looked great but we missed the functionality of the Philips Hue bulb in the previous fixture. While on a walk I noticed a home in my neighborhood had a version that looked like an Edison bulb but had the white base like Philips. No one seemed to be home so I took a closer look and sure enough it was this one. After looking at the price on line I went and swapped bulbs with the neighbor. Actually Im wondering if anyone actually reads these reviews. The bulb has survived a Texas hard freeze and multiple 100° days and still functions perfectly.

> 3 dayI bought two for use in outdoor light fixtures on my porch. One or the other decides to turn on, of its own volition, at random times during daylight hours. I use an Alexa schedule which it follows except for this turning on occasionally in the middle of the day. I havent been able to determine any pattern. Maybe an electrical quirk? Its an annoyance but not a deal breaker.

> 3 dayWe have a globe-type open shade and I was so tired of seeing the ugly bulb. This really made me happy to finally put in a bulb I do not mind seeing. It’s definitely stylish and functions great. We have many other hue lights (bulbs, strip & go lamp) and are very happy with the hue products. You do need the hue bridge to make any of these work with the “smart” feature (and Alexa), but once you have that you can keep adding bulbs / lights. Definitely worth buying.

> 3 daySome people dont like the color in these reviews but I love it! It gives a beautiful golden light thats perfect for the evening. This bulb is Goldie Locks, not too anything - its just right. Be advised that this bulb needs an extra step in some Routines (Hues App) as its not recommended in some native routines like Wake Up. If you want it to come on, you need to go into the Routine and select it again after adding it.

> 3 dayThese are great when they work but, these smart bulbs seem particularly sensitive to power fluctuations. If the amount of power going to the bulb drops too much, which can happen if too many devices are drawing power from the same circuit, it will cause an error and the bulb will start flashing. If the lights in your house tend to dim when you turn on the washing machine for example, these bulbs might give a problem

Greater than one weekThey are very orange. And though the app gives a massive array of hues, the reality is they just got from brighter orange to dimmer orange. I like warm lights but this feels odd if its the main light source in the room. Additionally, I use alexa and for a couple weeks both bulbs worked on it ok but now one wont connect to alexa no matter what I do. They are a bit pricey for being hard to manage and poor lighting.
