I purchased the Bissell Steam Shot Deluxe and returned it right away. I just did not feel the steam was powerful enough. Even my husband felt like it was a joke. I kind of felt like maybe these things just do not work the way people say they do. However, I decided to give this one a try before I made me conclusion. I am so glad I gave it a shot. This thing is amazing! It is so easy to use. And you do not need distilled water! Big plus! I just used it today for the first time so if my opinion changes in the future I will adjust my review but for now. I am a super happy customer.

I’ve been cleaning with this for days. I’m officially an adult that gets excited about stuff like this. If you want to join the dark (yet clean) side, get one for yourself.

It works but the water tank is so small. It runs out of steam very quick and since it’s pressurized you have to wait to refill it

My wife loves it and has cleaned the hell out of our house with it

I love this dang thing! Does a wonderful job all around. Only down side that semi drives me CRAZY is that it runs out of water quite quickly (estimated 5-10minutes of steaming) I get through maybe a standard bedroom door on one side before I need to refill it. Which you have to unplug and let decompress to fill it then wait another 4 mins to re-boil the water. I’d still recommend it as far as I’m concerned most of these hand held steamers will probably be low capacity.

Used this for the first time to clean my bathroom. The steam cleaner does do a great job of cleaning. It did a great job on my tub; however, the boiler holds so little water that you only get steam for a very short time, before it runs out of steam. Then, you have to wait about 5 minutes for the safety cap to cool so you can remove it and refill the boiler. At this rate, it will take me all day to clean my bathroom. Also, the cord is not long enough. I dont see how you could possibly use this to clean your car without an extension cord. The instructions say not use extension wires, which I am assuming is the same as an extension cord. I had to use an extension cord to reach my tub. UPDATE: It seems that the only time I ran out of steam quickly was the first time I used the cleaner. After that first time, I did not have trouble having the steam last a long time. Seems to work fine now, with plenty of long-lasting steam. Am very pleased.

To be fair, my experience is comparing this to a larger residential steamer with 275 degree F boiler tank. I wanted to try this because the larger steamer produced a lot of pressure but I noticed the steam was only hot within a short distance from the nozzle ( 1 inch ). With my small fabric steamer that cost only $10, the steam output is very hot even about 5 inch from the nozzle. I attributed this to the small fabric steamer output nozzle being much closer to the boiler tank. For this reason, I felt this steamer might produce more heat and be better than the large steamer I purchased. My theory was partially correct. It does produces more heat (the heat of the steam can be felt about 5 inches from the nozzle), but the pressure is too low. Also as others mentioned, holding it with your thumb to get steam can be tiring. It’s not heavy but it’s not the most comfortable position. If the button to push for steam was in the handle (similar to a gun) this would be better. My larger steamer has the steam trigger in the handle and it feels more natural. Overall this is a good tool and possibly great to bring along travel (to clean hotel toilets, showers and beds) but for me, since I have a larger machine I’m just not impressed enough, even to keep as a travel cleaner.
