Holds 7 gps very solid.

I use it to mount my fish finder. I take it off and on my kayak every time I go out. It goes on and off quickly and holds it exactly where I want it with no movement whatsoever.

A easy way to make the ram mounts a little harder to walk off is using a cap head bolt with lock nut. The C size takes a 5/16 x 2 bolt found at home depot. Not completely theft proof but they will need Allen wrench to get it off. The smaller size arms use 1/4 bolts

Tgis clamp in combination with the matching size balls give superior holding power.

bought this because i got a new trolling motor and wanted it to stay secure...it works great yes they are expensive but that motor wont budge and thats what i want!!
