This is a big mouse, but it has so many features for gaming, if you are used to a smaller mouse this is not for you as it will take a while to get used to it. However over all this is an awesome mouse.

Absolutely amazing mouse. The wireless-ness is amazing, while you can also plug in for gaming to get those low latencys. battery life is pretty dang good, I mostly use my mouse wired, but unplug it anytime I want to feel free from chords, its so nice to have the option to do that. I really only have only one complaint about the mouse, everything else is great and I would still highly recommend this mouse. The scroll wheel does not follow the RGB pattern that you set the rest of the mouse to. when unplugged it will be uncolored, which isnt too big of a deal. When plugged in the scroll wheel will stay green (if high or full charge) or flash yellow (if battery is mid to low). However you can still turn off LEDs altogether very easily from the bottom of the mouse, and turn them back on the same way. Its really weird because the scroll wheel obviously has all of the RGB capability as the rest of the mouse, but rather than using it to look good redragon decided it would be better to have a battery indicator, so it stays green most of the time. That being said, I have never felt a mouse fit better in my hand. I would honestly recommend this mouse on ergonomics alone. That plus it has a good amount of re-programmable buttons and a decent software to control LEDs and button programming. The DPI goes up very high, and you can also control the refresh rate and mouse sensitivity in the software. Feeling a mouse on 1000Hz refresh rate with a high DPI feels extremely smooth. Again, one of the greatest feeling and best functioning mice Ive ever had. Really sucks that the scrollwheel LED doesnt work the way everybody would want it to, its pretty much the only downside of this mouse.

TL:DR it’s lovely, hooks up well, problems with finding download, fixed This mouse fits my hand very well, I am a woman with medium-sized hands and I could reach al buttons easily. I use a claw grip mostly. The only issue I had was in downloading the software. I could not find the M801 Sniper (which I received) only the M801 Mammoth. The problem lay in going to the website listed in the little booklet it came with, which said to go to “redragonzone.com” - don’t! The box it comes in also has information on a sticker which tells you to go to “redragonusa.com” (if you are in the US obviously). This is where you will find your product to download the proper software. It was a breeze to set up the keybindings then!

Its a great mouse, but if you want the most of it, youre gonna have to track down the correct software for it. The Red Dragon Zone has software for a mouse that looks very much like this one, but is NOT the correct software. If you want to control the colors of the mouse or customize it at all, youre gonna have to look up the cached version of the Red Dragon USA website, because at the time of writing this review, the actual website is broken. Ive included a screenshot of the correct software. Beyond that, its a pretty good mouse. Changing DPI on the fly isnt a setting I knew I wanted until now. It also fits the hand nicely. A bit iffy on rechargeable internal batteries, swapping out AAs has never been a problem... and the mouse has etchings on the bottom that are like the fake battery door on a childrens toy, but whatever. Well see how this goes from here.

Ive never liked wireless for a mouse. Ive seen one too many wheres the batteries? hunts to want to find myself at 2am with no batteries and a dead or dying mouse. With the ability to charge this while you use it, Im not so worried anymore. So I took a chance and bought it. My first impressions were that it had a nice size and weight which fit my hand fairly comfortably. USB-C to charge (very nice) and a magnetic holder for your dongle at the bottom of the mouse. Then I plugged it in. The first thing I noticed was that the logo seemed to have a dead spot in the lower-right near the bottom tip of the wing. Makes it look cheap. The light ring on the base is really nice and the color seems very even. And then I tried to get the software... The place they tell you to go for the software (redragonzone dot com) had the software for download. Easy enough. Started it up and went straight to change the color. Nope. I tried everything; plugged in, unplugged, saving the profile and loading it, restarting... the list goes on. I could NOT change the light color. Then I noticed that the image of the software GUI on the Amazon page looked nothing like what I was using so I did some browsing.. I found a different software on the other site redragonusa dot com. This one was much newer and looked exactly like the software on their product page. And it worked. I could finally change the lighting - or some of it. Just the bottom light and the logo. The DPI indicator LEDs will only light up red. Youre stuck with glaring red lights on the top of your mouse. Next the scroll wheel which only lights to show the charge level when its plugged in and then only in red(ish) to green even though their own images make it look changeable. Also, when charging, the base light will not show your personal color choice until its fully charged. I was glad to see that I could have my color while plugged in except now there is a great big glowing green wheel!! WTH? So now my mouse has a blue base (matching every single thing with LEDs attached to my computer) 3 glowing red lights and a giant bright green one. Esthetically, this thing kinda sucks - unless your chosen colors are green, red or some combination of the two. I was stuck trying to figure out the difference between Eco and Off since there are no lights in either mode even when using the mouse except those stupid red DPI indicators. Otherwise the mouse seemed to work either way. Turns out the Off switch only turns it OFF when its not plugged in. Good to know. My final opinion is that this mouse works very well and does the job. Battery life seems fairly good so thats a plus. Its very smooth, the buttons feel great with the left click being a bit tighter than the right click and I really like it. The LEDs though make me sad. It could have been so nice. I get saving battery life so no wheel when unplugged. But why does it HAVE to be green when charged? Why cant we change the color to have it match or at least dim it? I know it seems so small but some of us are going for a look here. But in the end, its a solid mouse that I will probably not use very often. Time will tell.

I am always buying and trying different mice because I trade the stock market. I hate a mouse that the weight of my finger causes an accidental click because Im always randomly buying into a position in a stock I dont want to be in and it always causes me to lose money. Half the time I dont even know it unless I have the volume turned up on my laptop and I heard the order filled sound. I ordered a Logitech G603 and got it in the mail several days ago as well but i still got accidental clicks with it because the buttons were too easy to press. Not what I wanted. This sniper pro is perfect. I have to purposefully click it to get a click. I can hear the clicks which I also like. Its super cool looking, and much more comfortable than any other mouse Ive had. Its on the larger side for my small man hands which I like as it helps keep my fingers off whatever surface Im using it on. I dont like my pinky finger getting drug around all the time. I wish I could change the color on the scroll wheel though as its green and I dont like green. I can live with it though as I still really like this mouse. I havent used it for gaming so cant comment on that.

So far so good, button assignment is easy (download software from their web site) macros are easy, all around nice fit in my hand. Gives me 4 programmable buttons (the two on top but I leave them as dpi +-), the buttons are enough for me, I tried the ones that have 12 buttons at the thumb and I think its a extremely DUMB idea, back six you cant use in game realistically and at best of the front six you may use 3 or 4. Now lets see how long it lasts (thats the true test)

Battery life is good for the price Im a sucker long battery life. Maybe I am not used to it but the style of setup is a struggle for fast clicking while gaming. There are subfield of buttons you can program but in game settings it will not let me set up more than one of the side buttons for use

This product just sucked. From the very weak RGB to the lag, it was a huge step-down from my previous mouse. My first gaming mouse was the Redragon M602. I love this mouse so much! The lighting is beautiful, the quality and feel of it is fantastic, and the overall product is amazing! My main issue with it was the wire, I quickly realized I didnt like having a wire for my mouse and wanted to get rid of it fast. So with Redragon being my first brand and being extremely satisfied with it, I chose to go with their wireless mouse for twice the price! It was a huge mistake. The mouse is soooo laggy, it works fine for like 10 minutes, but quite often, it gets really jittery and twitches everywhere on the screen. This was the biggest issue for me and is what made me return it. Another issue is that its just not comfortable at all compared to the M602. Its smaller and much more square shaped, it wasnt for me at all. The thumb and pinky placement for the mouse was also really awkward. Lastly, the lighting on the mouse sucked a lot compared to the M602. The M602 has much brighter and out-there type of lighting, plus there is lighting on much more of the mouse. This mouse only had one strip of lighting at the bottom and the logo, and the mouse wheel didnt even light up at all aside from when the modes are being switched. It really sucks in comparison to the M602. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with the product and returned it after giving it a try for a few days. The lag was a really huge turn off and is what ultimately made me return it. The only positive Id have to say about this mouse is the three side buttons, theyre pretty cool! Although I couldnt find much use for having three buttons, I feel like 2 is enough. However, I probably would have eventually found use for the extra button if I kept the mouse. With all of this being said, I wouldnt recommend this product. I returned it and just stuck with my M602 permanently. For $20, the mouse is amazing. I dont see myself switching it out within the next few years, and I decided to just get used to the wire. This mouse has made me never want to get a wireless mouse again. If I do, it definitely wont be a Redragon one.

The Redragon M801 gaming mouse works really good on all games Ive played, would definately buy it again.
