Satechi Dual Smart Outlet with Real-Time Power Monitoring - Wi-Fi Smart Plug 2.4Ghz Enabled - Works with Apple HomeKit (USA, White)

I have purchased several of these over the past couple of years to control our holiday lighting via Apple Siri and HomeKit. Great to say in the evening “Hey, Siri, Christmas on” and all the lights in the house and outside come on. Same with turning them off. Saves having to spend 5-10 minutes going room-to-room and outside and turning lights on or off. For HomeKit users, I recommend this highly. Easy to set up (go to HomeKit app, add accessory, scan the QR code in the provided manual, and complete the setup. Easy-peasy!

I’ve looked for many HomeKit capable outlets in the past and was always disappointed by the drawbacks that many of them had. I had stumbled across this one and couldn’t be more impressed by the ease of use during setup and usage and the fact that it didn’t obstruct the other outlet. The second outlet was a huge bonus! Great work Satechi!

There’s a lot of smart plug options out there, but this ones well worth it. Had no issues setting it up and is working perfectly so far. Priced a little higher than others out there but adds an extra outlet that can be controlled individually and it monitors energy use in real time.

Pros: Dual individually controllable outlets! HomeKit certified Has manual on/off toggle for each outlet Energy consumption monitor App is great when working too Cons: App is spotty - what I mean is until a recent update it wouldn’t open (just crash). The app when working is much better than the competition UI (design) wise.

Works flawless with Apples Home system. Use it to turn on/off my printer. The only negative is the price. But not much competition.

Works great! Works as two different HomeKit plugs. Always works, and it doesn’t disconnect, which I appreciate.

12/27/19 I do not recommend this product. Trying to set up and both the HomeKit app and the Satechi app pop up with a message telling me I have to use WiFi or cellular data to add the product. Triple checked that I have data for both apps turned on and also checked that data is working. Still get that message. Beyond frustrated. (If the company wants to put out a quality product and works to have quality customer service, I will update if this fix the issue) Will return this product if the issue is not resolved. Edit on 1/1/2020: I purchased a new iPad and was able to get the outlet to work on this device, thank goodness as I did not want to return this product. I raised my rating from one star to three stars. My reasoning behind this rating, the outlet does not work on my iPhone X at all. If I had known this I may have gone with another product. The company needs to specify which devices this product work with and if WiFi is the only option, that this product will not work at all on cell data. I double checked and did not see any reference to not working on data.

I thought these would be helpful for locations where I need two smart outlets on a single plug. They’re great when they work, but they seem to lose the network connection all the time. I’m going to have to replace them with something else.

Works great with HomeKit. Easy to control

purchased this item and had hopes it would be easy set up - however upon plugging in and attempting to connect to my wifi the homekit app stated that it could not connect to my wifi network. I use an apple router so was confused by this. I was very disappointed in this and so am returning the product.
