Seagate Game Drive STGG8000400 8 TB Portable Hard Drive - External - White, 4.6 in x 1.6 in x 7.8 in

My Xbox only has 500GB of storage and I was constant deleting games to install new ones. CoD MW and BO were taking up nearly my entire storage so I needed an external harddrive. Ive now got over 30 games installed on my Xbox and I still havent filled it. The harddrive itself is actually fairly small and just plugs straight into one of the usb ports.

Originally bought this 8TB Gamedrive Hub as an external expansion drive for my PS4. The Q&A responses appear to state that it CAN be used, however be aware you most definitely CANNOT use this with a PS4 (I think the answers relate to different capacity drives). After a bit of digging, this appears to be down to the 8TB product also being a Hub. Decided to keep this anyway and use it with my Xbox One. Good value for the capacity and very easy to use. Just plug it in and add it as an extended storage device via the on screen prompts. Looks good and very quiet. The two extra USB ports at the front are a nice touch allowing easy access for adding other peripherals etc. All in all, happy with the purchase.

Suddenly stopped working after 5 years, you can feel the HDD turning but the light shines no more, my laptop recognises it but cant access it Good while it lasted, although you can play games from it on the original Xbox, Xbox series X only allows you to store games on it

Great addition to the xbox system. I only have a 500gb xbox one, so constantly had to delete games to install new ones, this solves the problem. Only needed a very easy, one click prompt on the home screen to format for game storage and gave me 3.7tb of usable storage. Highly recommended.

Jai acheté ce produit pour avoir de lespace de stockage en plus pour ma xbox one! Avec 8To, jai de quoi voir venir! Et surtout jai pris celui-ci plutôt quun 4to car il fait hub usb 3.0, pour y brancher mes deux manettes filaires qui sont donc en façade du HDD, avec donc les cordons bien droits et non plus courbés comme sur la xbox one avec ses prises usb à larrière et sur le côté! Et ça fonctionne très bien; pas de latence à lappui sur les boutons! Le disque est silencieux, et bien quil est un transfo dalimentation, lorsque vous éteignez la console, après refroidissement, il séteint aussi! Je suis entièrement satisfait, dautant que lorsque jai déplacé mes jeux du hdd de la console vers le disque, ça a été rapide!(plusieurs centaine de giga)!

As always with Xbox, games are getting larger. Modern Warfare alone is nearly 170gb! Eeek! Extra storage time! This is perfect. People talking about transfer speeds and SSD capability need to chill out. For PC, yes. SSD so the way. Not needed on an Xbox. Transferred all of my games to this drive and its only on 12.8% storage. I could probably fit 20-30 games on this with space for more. Yes, the little light stays on but if you completely shut down your Xbox, its goes off! Simple.

I dont know of its the cable connecting, the hard drive to my series s; or the hard drive itself sometimes causing it to not show up as an external storage. It can be annoying at times.
