I got this mic after reading many reviews on many mics. It works great on my amp ,just run the mic cord under the amp handle and zip tie it, and it never moves , and works perfect. It has a clean sound and look!

Very transparent mic. I love that what I record with it sounds like what Im hearing. Works well with higher volumes. Also works well recording lower volumes as if you live in an apartment and want to track guitars without getting a noise complaint from the office. Ive used sm57s and I prefer this. It could be me but the sm57s always clipped when recording anything high gain. These are very easy to set up and use. To me its as easy as direct recording and the sound quality is better than vst or a processor.

This is sold as an amp mic, but really it can be used for almost anything. Stick it in front of any acoustic instrument. It even works as a vocal mic. For the money this is just about the best mic you are going to get.

This mic is awesome, its perfect for guitar. Since its supercardioid, it can handle super loud volumes. Great for live performance and great for the studio- it makes your guitar sit nicely in the mix. You can even scream into it and it sounds pretty cool!

Perfect mic for guitar amps. No stand needed, just hang over the top. Way better than hanging a 57 sideways over your speaker.

My favorite mic for electric guitar. Given a choice I will go for the E609 vs. the SM57 especially if the guitar is equipped w/ humbuckers. Positioning is critical and even though a lot of people hang these over the amp I tend to go w/ a stand so I can get it right where I want it. Its also a secret weapon for the 8x10 SVT bass cabinet due to the more extended low end as compared the SM57. Put it on the top 10 furthest from the drums.
