> 3 dayThis thing performs better than an SM57. Not only is it good for micing amps but its shockingly good for vocals and acoustic instruments as well. Ive been using it on my bass amp and my acoustic guitar and its performed brilliantly.

> 3 dayThis mic by itself is a bit bright for my tastes, but I use it in tandem with a second microphone when recording guitars to get a more full sound. I love the lateral construction which allows me to use a clothes pin to hang the mic in front of the amp - one less mic stand on stage.

> 3 dayNice microphone. I used this microphone for my guitar amplifier. If you are serious about delivering a quality sound for your musical instrument, this is a must.

> 3 dayLow end is not super great, highs are a bit shrill. If you dial things in a bit it does the job, but not super impressed

> 3 dayThis is my second one of these. They are great for miking amp cabs and eliminate the need for a mike stand. They hang flat in front of the speaker with no other support besides looping the mike cable through the handle.

> 3 dayMy favorite mic for electric guitar. Given a choice I will go for the E609 vs. the SM57 especially if the guitar is equipped w/ humbuckers. Positioning is critical and even though a lot of people hang these over the amp I tend to go w/ a stand so I can get it right where I want it. Its also a secret weapon for the 8x10 SVT bass cabinet due to the more extended low end as compared the SM57. Put it on the top 10 furthest from the drums.
