> 3 dayTheres a good reason behind all the hype for this mic. I dont think you can go wrong with an SM7B. Its great for vocals, but also excellent on guitar amps and bass drums (best bass drum mic ever?).

> 3 dayI got this microphone for my home recording studio. It is a great microphone. When I record I Often use more than 1 microphone to create a stereo effect and in case 1 microphone fails then at least the other has the backup. This mic has the most flat response out of all the mics I have which makes it great to include in any recording I do. I am constantly impressed by how it captures such a broad spectrum of sound so clearly!

> 3 dayWith a lot of background noise in my room, I needed to make a change in my Mic. This dynamic mic is perfect for only picking up the audio inches in front of it. I have a Fan, a fishtanks, and other background noises that my old mic would always pickup no matter how much I tweaked my noise gate settings. This Dynamic mic hears none of it, my stream only hears ME! Great quality mic for superior audio quality.

> 3 dayThis mic is good! Maybe a little too good to be honest. When I was doing research on this mic it said it favors more lower pitch or deeper voices, this is true. I have a higher pitch voice and anytime my voice is drops in tone by a little the mic picks it right up! I got this mic as an upgrade from the XLR Blue Yeti and the XLR AT-2020 and what Ive noticed in comparing them all is that the Shure SM7B is wildly better, its so good and sounds super crisp! The Yeti and AT-2020 have a less crisp sound which kinda makes my singing voice sound better because the SM7B seems like it really emphasizes tone change. Overall, I love the mic, its sleek, nice, sturdy quality, and made from great materials! Oh! Also for this mic you might need a cloudlifter! I bought one with this mic and it helped a lot so I didnt have to hike up the gain! I was using the Focusrite Scarlett with the Cloudlifter and it works well! I have since then gotten the GoXLR and it works so much better! Both the Focusrite and GoXLR say they dont need a Cloudlifter however I noticed it tremendously helps it sounds better and almost a higher volume without touching any gain at all! I would recommend a Cloudlifter even if you Audio Interface says it doesnt need one.. I promise youll notice a difference, I also used my friends Roland VT-4 with and without the cloudlifter and the cloudlifter just makes it more crisp with no fuzzy gain sounds.

Greater than one weekIm relatively new to the home voiceover market. My previous microphone was the Sennheiser MK4 (paired with the Scarlett 2i2) which wasnt a bad mic but incredibly sensitive. It picked up every single noise from outside and I was suddenly made painfully aware of all the clicks pops and squeaks my mouth makes when I speak. I did a lot of research on mics because of all the challenges I had. I read great things about this one. The challenge was finding a decent interface to pair this with since you apparently need a lot of gain to maximize this microphone. I ended up getting the Apogee Duet (separate review of that coming) and WOW. The sound is fantastic. I am editing narration I did with that set up and Im having to do much less editing. The in between noises are so quiet compared to the last set up I had. Dont get me wrong, I still hear occasional pops and clicks from my mouth but the ambient noise has dramatically reduced. In my last set up, if I heard a car or plane outside, I would have to stop recording. Not here. This mic picked up nothing but my voice. Great value.
