Good flexible 10-gauge copper wire. This is tinned wire so it is coated and will not look copper. It has a nice UV resistant coating which should help it to last a long time. You get around 30’ but they tell you if can be off by 1%. I have not unrolled the whole thing to know if it is exactly 30’ or not. I am not an engineer so I don’t know all the technical things. I know what wire cost these days and the price of this is pretty good. Not having ends already attached is ok with me. My application may be different from the ends they would put on and I would have to cut them off and waste wire. I am good putting my own ends on my wire. Unless something happens over time, I can say I am happy with this wire,

This wire is well made and made my job of connecting solar panels a breeze. The wire is flexible and well insulated. It also carries the current with little to no loss (depending on length). You can’t go wrong purchasing this wire.

Using this to route solar from RV roof to charge controller by the batteries. Instead of getting two colors I am just going to use electrical tape to mark the ground on the ends and every few feet.

I like this cable, it has all specifications I needed to use with my solar panel system. It uses tinned stranded copper wire which is less prone to corrosion. UV protected to prevent sunlight from Damaging the insulation (making it get brittle/crack) Being stranded it is very Flexible,, 10 gauge allows it handle plenty of current up to 30 Amps.. It has two layers of insulation and is rated at 1500v, so no worries of it shorting out when gets wet… Two colors red for positive and Black for negative.. I measured low resistance, and negligible voltage drop.

Good wire and makes it easy to extend my array.

We have a south-facing roof, so Im beginning to acquire the items I need to set up my own DIY solar setup. Im starting with running a cable into the house through a gland that I can hook my camping-style foldable 60w and 100w solar panels through to my solar power station inside the house, but the plan is to learn as I go and eventually put some 100w fixed panels on the roof. This wire is plenty long to allow me to position those panels wherever works best and still allow me to run the wire through the gland Im installing. It helps makes things less bewildering and allows for any positioning mistakes I might make.

TLDR; yes, Id buy this again when I need more I acquired this wire to use on some low-voltage rewiring projects on a boat. So far, I have used ~24 in various run lengths. The price per foot is a little less than I found locally and is an overall good price on Amazon. The specs on the wire match the description, and additional details from the manufacturer pulled from the jacket can be found online. Tinning on the conductors appears to be consistent and reasonably well coated. Insulations seem decent and are not abraded any more than other wires as I am pilling through fiberglass panels and wall grommets. The wire is somewhat stiff, but it pulled easily (no lube used) and did not kink.

This wire is thick and heavy and definitely appears to be tinned 10 gauge copper and not the cheaper and poor quality copper clad aluminum. The insulation is of the plastic variety. Its not terribly flexible or easy to strip, but it looks to be durable and fairly puncture and cut resistant. Price is significantly more affordable than silicone insulated wire. Overall a good product for the money. Recommended.

I am no wire expert, sure cant get into engineering details, I just needed some wire for a solar system I am trying to put together. It is heavy duty wire, it has some hefty to it. Not saying that makes it good, just saying it is quality wire and it works as it should. Least so far for me. Dont have any complaints. Happy to far, price is fair, would recommend.

10 Gauge Solar Panel Wire(6mm²)

  • 78 strands 0.295 mm tinned copper wire are inside each 10 gauge cable., compared with aluminum materials, it has lower resistance and higher conductivity.
  • Large diameter (6mm) 10 AWG solar wire can minimize power loss in solar panel system, 6mm² thick enough to drive current and voltage (DC: 1.8KV; AC: 0.6-1KV).

  • Withstands temperatures as low as -40°F and as high as +194°F.
  • The photovoltaic wire sheath has a thick insulating layer, which is UV resistant, durable and has a long service life.
NO ALNO AL

NO AL

  • Solar Panel Wire is made of pure copper with tin coating, which provides good conductivity and the ability to resist oxidation.

  • Compared with aluminum materials, it has lower resistance and higher conductivity.
