Sony WH1000XM3 Noise Cancelling Headphones, Wireless Bluetooth Over the Ear Headset – Black (2018 Version)

OK - I do not like wearing earphones like this. I think people who wear them in public look wicked arrogant. BUT - I am becoming a convert to wearing these indoors when I work! I work from home, for which I am supremely thankful for. I do like to listen to music when I am working on a giant excel workbook, and we do have noisy dogs barking where I live. I must grab these every day. For one, they do an excellent job with noise cancellation. I have yet to wear them on an airplane, but I bet they are amazing at helping block that engine noise! Even turned off they help a lot! Sound quality is perfect - ultra-clear, very nice. Super comfortable - the cushion covers my entire ear and the padded strap is perfect too. The touch-switch thing on the right ear is confusing - and I can never remember what tapping or swiping does. I have accidentally set off something by touching it which I do not like. So I usually just play music and try not to grab the right ear piece.

EDIT: A firmware update fixed my static issue. Best in class ANC returns!

Ears overheat after 10-15 minutes of listening. The sound quality is highly disappointing for something so expensive. For the price, I expected elite crisp, clear audiophile sound. The touch controls are also difficult to deal with and all over the place. I will be returning these, they have been overrated by the headphone review community on youtube.

OK, I am not a headphone aficionado or anything like that, but I do like to do the research on the products I’m interested in buying. With that said, I personally feel like you can’t go wrong with these Sony headphones. I’ve had them for about a week, and they came in a day earlier than expected with the holiday craze.

These headphones are flat-out amazing. Noise cancelling is phenomenal and the sound quality is VERY impressive. My one and only complaint that I just discovered is that Sony uses a proprietary charging cable for the headphones. That was not a problem until I couldnt find the cable and just reached for a micro USB, only to realize they are not the same. I found the cable but will be investigating whether I can purchase a spare.

These headphones sound fine, and the ANC is incredible. I have zero issues with sound quality.

My fiance has the Boss Quietcomfort 35 series II. I love it but I dont like the noise cancelling. When I get this headphones, the noise cancelling is the best! Just the earphones makes my ears hot. I love the bass and its much better than the beats, since I have the beats solo 3. I love the color choices than the Bose QC 35 II. Thank you so much! I will use this whenever I am flying between state to state and out of the country later! So excited!! ^__^
