great headphones overall. I find the controls a bit finicky but Im getting used to them.

Would be nice if the headphones played louder. The sound quality and noise canceling are great.

Active noise cancelling is the only good feature of these headphones. Build quality is poor, on reddit you can find a lot of people complain about squicks of plastic due to problematic build.

Love the sound quality and the way it allows you to augment noise to suit every situation. Perfect headphones and perfect gift from my wife for Christmas.

Ive been looking to get a noise-canceling headphone for a while. I had been eyeing the 1000XM2 for a while but had observed several challenges such as weight, ear pad comfort, etc. I was still about to pull the trigger when I read somewhere that the 1000XM3 was imminent, and held off.

I’ll make it simple:

I use these to watch TV and Movies outside while enjoying a cigar. I live next to a free way on ramp, and can normally hear tons of traffic and sirens. Since I purchased these, I don;t even hear them anymore. I mean I do if I am listening for them. However, for the most part the outside world gets drowned out when the audio is playing from whatever I am watching at the time.

After weeks of research and comparison, I bought a pair of Sony WH1000XM3. A week later, my wife surprised me with a pair of Bose QC 35s (forgetting that I had already purchased the Sonys). I opened the Bose QC in order to test them, figuring I would keep the better of the two and sell the others.
