I work in a fast pace environment and with lots of people so this keeps me well and boosts my immune system. This coupled with proper rest and exercise is apart of my wellness regimen.

My chiropractor recommended this to me as a way to boost my immune system. I have definitely taken it consistently and as directed at the very hint of a cold, and Ive ended up getting sinus infections and bronchitis just as usual over the previous months. Instead of this, I would recommend drinking a lot of water, taking a multivitamin, eating a healthy diet, getting plenty of sleep, and eliminating as much stress from your life as possible. Thatll probably be the real trick to health -- not just a weird smelling little pill. UPDATE (5/12): My husband and child were both extremely ill over the past week. My husband was the sickest hes ever been in his life. I took six pills (plus some echinacea tea) the day I felt the sore throat coming on. I DID get sick, but I only got a cough -- no fever, no blistering in the throat, no vomiting, no rash. I am a convert. SECOND UPDATE (11/12): I have a crap immune system. I had shingles in Sept, followed by a kidney infection in October. Horrible! I started taking these again (two in the morning, two in the evening) while I had the kidney infection. My husband and two year old son got a horrible cold and cough, and my husband got bronchitis from it. The little one got ANOTHER cold. Since Ive been consistent with taking it, I have not gotten either cold. I also had a small shingles rupture on my finger this morning and took six pills today. It is now gone. (I have had shingles twice this year; Im a freak of nature.) Im now a real believer in this stuff. Seriously I am. And I dont believe in many herbal remedy type things. I take a vitamin and fish oil. And this stuff. The ingredients SEEM to work. And theyre not so weird -- lots of garlic, echinacea, astralagus ... stuff thats pretty commonly seen as immune boosters. I may not be a double-blind study, but I can swear that this stuff works -- at the very least to prevent upper respiratory infections.

I try to take these the moment I realize Im coming down with something. They do seem to lessen the symptoms and the time being sick, but prepare to be farting the alphabet.

On another site (iherb) I discovered that there are 2 different products called Wellness Formula. Although they both say Herbal Defense Complex, the newer one is titled Wellness Formula, With Andrographis and Propolis Extract. It contains NO echinacea according to the label ingredients displayed. For the other one, it says: This is the original version of Wellness Formula with Echinacea. For the new version with more Andrographis Extract instead of Echinacea. When you go to the company site, there is no such information. I gave this 4 stars only because I had to give stars, and I do like the original product, but I assumed echinacea to be a key ingredient. If it is not included in this product, then I dont know if I want it. Its too much trouble for me to try to determine whether 175 mg andrographis and no echinacea is as effective for me as 100 mg. andrographis and 360 mg or 270 mg echinacea, so I would rather go with the product I am familiar with. I have written to Source Naturals about the problem, but amazon needs to show the accurate ingredients on its products. There is no way to know whether Wellness Formula sold by other sellers on amazon is the same as this one. No ingredients providing benefits to immune functions were reduced in potency by switching from whole plants to extracts. Regarding the different labels, the reason you may be seeing different supplement information on various retailer websites is because they have not updated to the most current product label. Helps me keep healthy all winter long

I bought this to replace another product that has become unreasonably expensive (Quick Defense). I was excited to get this due to the reviews. In my excitement, I didnt look at all of the pictures. Unfortunately, I am sensitive to soy, so I cant use it. It says right on in the picture. Fortunately, others in my family can. I am still waiting to see it perform magic like the other product we used before.

A friend showed me these and now I swear by them. Buy these pills!!! It does wonders when you feel like your coming down with something.

Potent and effective and probably the best product made by Source Naturals. I believe this is the best herbal immune support product on the market. This stuff is truly amazing. Been using it for many years. Anytime I feel like I’m getting sick, this is my go to. I take the suggested 6 capsules every few hours and it either stops the illness or shortens it. Every so often I will take a few capsules for maintenance. It does have a slight garlic taste so I like to take it with juice. Nothing unbearable but they are a lot of pills to swallow and juice helps get them down easier. This is a medicine cabinet staple year round. Highly recommend this amazing supplement!

So during a rough season of health, I did the usual vitamin C, zinc, etc, but something wasnt enough. I added this item and I have loved it ever since. When we get sick, we start taking this and although theres no way to prove it, we believe it definitely helps and we are willing to invest in its use.
