Use daily. Nice design. Nice finish. Sturdy.

Its attractive and light and tucks away under the toilet nicely. But, as someone else mentioned, I also got a splinter putting it together. Removed it easily and quickly but they may want to check their stools. Lastly, the screws that hold it together are counter sunk which is nice and they have covers that should plug into place. But only half of them stay in place while the others simply fall off. An easy fix if you plan to keep the stool is just to use a little glue.

For shorties like me with potty issues, it makes doing my business more comfortable. It feels like the most natural sitting position. Doesn’t pull my back and it’s nice to look at. Not so clinical.

I found the fit and finish of the Bamboo FLIP Squatty Potty unit that I received mid-October 2019 to be good, and the assembly to be easy. The four major pieces were reasonably smooth with a bit more roughness on the edges of the two larger sides where they fit together once assembled. I did not encounter any problems with splinters. The screws supplied were adequate for the task of screwing the sides together; they were not high-grade fasteners however. The supplied hex-key wrench was also adequate but not high-grade. None of the fasteners required excessive torque; the two on the right-hand side of the taller platform side did require more torque than any of the others but it was still manageable with the supplied hex key wrench (using the longer side of the wrench to turn the shorter sides head inserted into the top of the fasteners). All of the holes for the fasteners lined up correctly. I followed the standard practice of only torquing the fasteners loosely until all were in place, and then performing a final tightening to finish putting the fasteners in their final positions. Once assembled, the Squatty Potty unit was sturdy enough for its intended purpose. There is a sticker on one of the sides (that is inside the assembled unit) warning against using the unit as a standing platform (stool), and it would clearly NOT be suitable as a standing platform based on the lack of support on all sides and the slope of the sides. It is more than adequate for the purpose of supporting ones feet and legs as indicated for the purpose of altering ones body posture while seated on a standard US plumbing fixture toilet. The short side varies in height from 6.5 inches to slightly over 7.75 inches. The tall side varies in height from 8 inches to just over 9 inches. The included instructions indicate that the correct position is with the platform surface sloping down away from the plumbing fixture (highest point closest to the plumbing fixture).

I had heard of these for a long time and liked the look of bamboo so decided to give it try. The first disappointment came when it arrived a flat box of 4 flat boards meaning I was going to have to put this together. It is such a small item, there is no reason this for this other than to save packaging space. It would be much nicer if it were made from one solid piece of wood with no assembly required instead of 4 flat boards. So i get out the instructions, they give you a small wrench and screws and put it together. There are also little plastic coverings for the screws but half of them kept falling off and it looks stupid with some on and some off so i didn’t use them. There are two heights but the tall side is way too high and gives you less space for your feet so not sure who would use it. Even the short height is fairly tall. I would have preferred a more solid single piece of wood that was not as tall. I guess it will take some getting used too. It looks kind of cool when not used so maybe some simply buy it for the look. Since I have just tested it so far and not actually used yet that is all I can say so far. I live in Florida where it is hot and humid and it is in the bathroom so I hope the wood holds up. Maybe the plastic would have been a better option? However I don’t like the look of plastic.

Its a little annoying to put together, but not terribly difficult to figure out.

I have two of the original ones and while those work great, the white plastic doesnt exact look classy or premium. Im a fan of bamboo and the fact that this supports two different heights of 7 and 9 makes this a versatile option. Putting this together was simple enough with the included wrench and the instructions were simple to understand. My only negative feedback is that I dont particularly enjoy that the surface you put your feet on is slanted. This is a matter of preference of course, but I prefer my feet to be flat like they are able to with the original plastic version.

Fits comfortably under toilet, out of the way. Love that you can use it on a taller toilet or standard just by flipping it!

    Too tall

The bamboo flip helps align the colon for better elimination. To simulate a squatting position, all you have to do is take a seat, put your feet on the toilet stool, and get comfortable. Prefer the 7" Height, but someone else in the home requires the 9" Height? This Squatty Potty adjusts between both heights with just a flip. It"s clever design requires very little effort to accommodate anyone"s squatting needs. So simple. Yet so smart. Which size is right for me? The flip stool offers the best of both worlds. 7″ Height is the most comfortable for most people. For those with comfort height toilets the 9″ Height is sometimes preferred. Children also do better with the 9″ Height.
