False advertising. Tape measure is made in Thailand and not the USA. I didn’t want some foreign garbage

I have been using and loving these for years. It appears they reduced the thickness of the metal. I usually get 3-4 years out of one. These lasted 3 months.

Picture clearly indicates made in the USA. Product that showed up is not USA made. This was a determining factor in purchasing this item. I will be returning for a refund

What a steal

Farming life can be hard on equipment, but I have had older Stanley fatmax tapes for years. One survived building and framing my whole house, barn projects and on and on. But one of new tapes did it make it through a week of use before the return spring started failing and having to be pushed back in by hand. The other ones holding up okay but I don’t have much faith in it lasting like those old ones have.

You used to get a good tape only a few years ago, now I still pay the same price and I can tell a bigger difference right out of the box, the new ones feel like junk, theyve dropped their standards down to the rest of em

I use them every day as a plumber. Great quality at a great value. Always good to have the second one to keep in the truck.
