SteelSeries Sensei 310 Gaming Mouse - 12,000 CPI TrueMove3 Optical Sensor - Ambidextrous Design - Split-Trigger Buttons - RGB Lighting, Black

I got this to replace my Mamba TE. Ive had problems with every razer mouse. This just works. i dont need to calibrate it or anything. None of the problems Ive had with razer. My complaints: it isnt that ergonomic. I think that is because it is ambidextrous. However, I am used to it. I also miss having tilt buttons in the mouse wheel. It is also very light. I actually like a bit more weight in my mouse. You can use the side buttons on the opposite side of the mouse, but it feels awkward. Otherwise, if you want a decent gaming mouse, I would recommend this.

The product looks nice, feels nice to hold, and comes with simple and easy to use software. In gaming its fairly good at what it does, as it is precise, and it performs well at its price point. However, there is a major issue that I have personally had ( as well as many others ) with the product, and that is the product has pretty iffy mouse buttons, particularly the left mouse button. You can find all sorts of people mention this issue if you look online, a specific location is the Steelseries reddit page where you can find many issues mentioning the left mouse button. It seems that SteelSeries has taken cheaper alternatives with the mouse buttons as they spent money on the rest of the device to make it more affordable for consumers and more profitable for them. My particular issue was when trying to hold the left mouse button, in which sometimes the mouse would suddenly click again ( while I was holding the button ) or it just wouldnt receive any input at all. Rarely, the button wouldnt receive any input at all as I continued clicking, and I had just received the product and used it for about a day before I noticed anything, and I had given it the same amount of daily use as I gave every other mouse I own, which are much older and are still fully functional. As a gaming mouse, having that issue makes the device essentially worthless, and it even makes daily use slightly tedious as well. If the mouse worked perfectly fine, then the product would have easily been 5 stars because it does everything it needs to do perfectly. Im fairly disappointed as I previously had positive experiences with this brand in the past but I personally dont think Ill be trying their mice again.

EDIT: For anyone having issues with double-clicking, try using the steelseries engine software and changing the click from play once to play N times, set N to 1, and set the pause time in ms to 1-5 depending on how bad your double-click is. The mouse itself is generally great, I bought it as a replacement for my 3 year old Rival 300 (which still works great besides the scroll-wheel double scrolling). Ive loved using it since it felt the same and worked well for the games I play (Halo, Apex Legends, League Of Legends, etc). However just a month or so after my warranty has run out the mouse has begun to double right-click, meaning if I rightclick the mouse tends to rightclick again and either cancel what Im doing (in a game aiming down sights or moving in MOBAS) or forcing me to do something I dont want to. The general fixes of using compressed air to clean it and clicking for 30 seconds have not fixed it and with a google search this issue is quite common amongst users. With prime you can get the mouse for just over 40, but I would be lying if I said that was a good price given how quickly this mouse fell apart. If you truly feel a need for this mouse let it go on a big discount or risk it falling apart quicker than its competitors.

I used the G Pro before so this is bigger than Im used to, but it doesnt really bother after a while. Good for its price. All mice will eventually degrade over time, and my rating is based on how long it lasts vs its price. The scroll wheel started acting up after maybe half a year. It would register a scroll even if I havent scrolled to the next tick. That got pretty annoying. Ive had a couple of other more expensive mice start double clicking after only a few months of use. This mouse lasted about 14 months now before I ran into clicking issues and honestly, Im pretty happy with that. I got this mouse for $40, so overall, Id say the price is very much worth it. Im ordering a new one now. Ill only rate it 4 just because the scroll wheel issue happened way too quickly. EDIT: Ive still been using this thing for over a year since I posted this review, and its still going strong. There are a few hiccups, like when I first made this review, but they are pretty rare. I havent touched the new one I bought yet. Still in its box. But, I still cannot give this a 5 because of the wheel. Other than that, this is a fantastic mouse.

Overall for large hands, this is a great mouse that functions as it should for a low priced gaming mouse. My only issue with the mouse is that the rubber pads on both sides are starting to unstick form the mouse less than a year after I purchased it. I am going to have to look into gluing it with something better than it came with. But overall, a great buy.

The mouse is great overall. It feels solid enough (not the same as the Logitech offerings though) and the sensor is great at tracking. The mouse sits low and with my hand size of 20.5x11 my fingers do drag on my mousepad at times. A word of warning the width of the back of the mouse is quite good for my hands but the front portion tapers quite a bit to around 55mm. I found this a bit to narrow for my taste but I can still aim and track well with it. I am still on the fence if it is comfy or not so I will keep it and use it for now and compare it with its bigger brother the rival 600 which has a totally different shape (also on the fence if comfy or not) but better width for me at 62mm. The clicks are something that I must congratulate Steelseries I would say they are nearly as good as the top end Logitech offerings and significantly better IMO than the hairtrigger like switches on Razer (really hate how sensitive and mushy the clicks feel on Razer). Overall I am happy with the mouse and would probably keep it in my arsenal to use for some work and gaming.

Great for me because I have big hands. Nice grips on the sides and a couple good programable buttons.

Ive had this for quite a while now, and I already know Im going to get another when the time comes. Used the original for a couple years, but the left click died on me one day. So I got a temporary generic one for a while which sucked and made go shop for a better one. Found a solid deal on Black Friday for a Logitech g502 Hero. I liked the functionality, but it was pretty small. The size and ergonomics of it were so bad that I couldnt play a FPShooter for even an hour without my entire hand spasming and cramping. So I looked around for Ol reliable, but discovered the new one is practically the same. So I went ahead and got the Rival 300. Immediately felt relief in my hand and my aim showed drastic improvement. The larger grip is exactly what I need, and now I know. I highly recommend for anyone who plays grip-intense games.

I have been using this mouse for about a year, Ill say that its a solid mouse for the most part. There have been no issues with tracking and the buttons feel responsive; the hardware seems good for the most part. The lighting is vibrant in color and bright, if you care about that stuff. Its shape is a little awkward on the right side and it took some adjustment to get a comfortable grip on it, but that will probably differ case by case. I dont, however, feel comfortable recommending it due to a couple nagging quality issues. Maybe I just got unlucky with mine, but Ive also used a Rival 100 and that mouse didnt last longer than a year. I dont beat my mice up or swing them over my head by the cord so Im starting to think Steel Series just doesnt make hardware that lasts. My particular issues were: 1) Upon first picking up the mouse the left mouse click seemed slightly looser than the right; didnt think too much of it but later on the mouse developed an issue with double clicking on a single button press. It doesnt seem like a driver issue, and I have no idea if its related to the loose nature of the button, but it seems like an issue with the button hardware. 2) One of the grippy side pads was glued poorly. It shifted a lot within the first couple months and eventually lost its bond with the mouse plastic. I dont know what kind of glue is used to attach the two but its a perpetual wet, sticky mess. The glue gunk gets pushed out of the cavity by the shifting of the pad and gums up the bottom of the mouse and my hand. In the end the pad just refused to stay in place so I removed it and wiped off all the glue. To the mouses credit it isnt that uncomfortable to hold without the grip. I think I will avoid mice with this sort of silicone padding in the future - it doesnt offer that much comfort and in this case its just a hassle.
