Greater than one weekI held onto this in my cart for some time and I kept looking around. I should never have hesitated! It is solidly built, bolts provided are actually useful unlike other cheap hardware that you might get. The one reason I hesitated getting this was because I didnt realize that the mounting bracket could be turned so that I could month the brackets on 1 2x6 beam in the garage. So the hardware is made to install over a perpendicular to the ceiling beams or along one long running beam... In any case, this is solid and great workmanship. Thanks!

11-06-2025I installed in one morning by myself, although I recommend two persons. I put up a solid wood interior door, two 6’ and two 4’ tables, window screens and a partridge in a pear tree. It’s great to access walls & cabinets again. Now to buy a 2d for ladders.

Greater than one weekOverall a good product, however don’t go by the instructions that say to use a 3/8 bit to pre drill your holes. Go down a size to 5/32
