SYLVANIA Wifi Smart Plug, Voice Control, Compatible with Alexa and Google Home, Timer, On/Off, White - 4 Pack (75703)

Bought these because Sylvania Smart+ plugs are specifically listed as compatible. My goal was to add more control over lights etc. via Smartthings scenes and automations. At this point, can control these using Sylvania app only, another separate app. Not Smart.

I have one other smart plug adaptor, also Sylvania, thats compatible with Smart Life, and works with Google Home out of the box. These dont do that, unfortunately. I did manage to get the Smart Life app working with them at one point, but Ive forgotten how, and I honestly wish I didnt have to install any of these third-party apps with dubious privacy. The dimensions of these do allow me to plug two of them into a standard US wall outlet, though, which is nice.

I ordered these plugs to use with various light fixtures in my home, as some rooms do not have overhead lighting. Setup was fast and easy, and integrating with my Alexa devices was pretty smooth. I say that these mostly work well, because there are random times when Ill ask Alexa to turn on my office light, and she responds that the device is offline. Even opening the Sylvania app to turn the device on doesnt work, and give a message that the device is offline and to check WiFi settings. Each time this happens, I have to go over and manually press the button on the side of the device, which isnt too much of a hassle, but should be something you have to do. Other times, the Sylvania app seems somewhat sluggish to respond, and doesnt turn the device on or off for several seconds after tapping the button. My only other wish for these devices is that I wish the Sylvania app had a widget for iOS (cant say if theres one for Android or not), as I feel that would be easier than opening the app to turn off a light when Ive already gone downstairs and forgotten to ask Alexa to turn it off. All in all, I am pleased with these plugs, but wish they were a little more responsive.

The charging head is very practical and the interface is convenient. It is still a different interface. Most of the things that need to be charged at home can be used. Just connect different lines and charge at the same time, which greatly saves my time. After a long time of use, there is no fever.

This product is horrible. Supposedly its compatible with Alexa but only if your Internet is running at 2.4G. You also need to download the Sylvania app try to install and if youre lucky then go to the Alexa app. I would return this product if I could but that window has closed. $30 lesson on what not to buy. IDONOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!!

This product would not connect to my WiFi network. I followed the instructions for set up and all the trouble shooting guides, but these didn’t work at all. No problems with other smart devices on my network except for these plugs.

Just like the title, 1 of the outlets wouldnt work so had to return all 4. Will look for a different brand.

It don’t work and too much to try and get it

These arrived as pre-owned products and then would not connect to our devices. We plan to try them at another location. But all signs point to the fact that these dont work at all except as regular outlet expansions (1 to 3).
