Synology RAM DDR4-2666 Non-ECC SO-DIMM 4GB (D4NESO-2666-4G)

Its a good product so Id recommend this to anyone needing extra memory for a NAS drive, which all NAS drives need the extra memory. It is expensive though, so this is part of the price of NAS drive we often fail to take into account.

Used on my Synology DS220+. Install was a breeze, start up and NAS recognized with no issues. A little pricey but worth it.

I already purchase one years ago for my DS220 and this one its just as flawless. Will run non stop for years. In addition, you ensure that warranty and support is available since its approved by Synology (of course)

The price of the memory is quite high for what it normally costs with third party vendors.

The extra Ram might speed up your NAS for certain tasks, like video recording.

Works flawlessly with the DS 720+. The cost is high for RAM but using another unapproved modul will cause problems. For example; shut downs, data lose, clicking HDDs. Outright system crashes and random freezing.

The price for the Synology brand is too expensive.
