> 3 dayI own a small business called Lumber Lovin and finding good tape for packaging has been a nightmare for the last 2 years. I’ve been using Uline s-423 and Tape King blows them away. Half the cost and also half the tape usage! This stuff doesn’t just stick to itself, it actually works as packing tape is intended to. It’s also pretty thick so it doesn’t stretch or bounce back on itself when using the gun dispenser (also saving time and headache of getting it back in place and off your fingers) Seriously, this stuff is awesome and Tape King is my new go to company for packing tape for sure. Thanks guys!

> 3 dayPros: Out-of-box adhesion is crazy (pun unintended.) This tape sticks to cheap, dusty, recycled corrugated really well. In fact, for those boxes it stuck even better than Scotch HD. Its like Tape King went to a generic tape manufacturer and told them to put 3x the acrylic adhesives to make this product. The cost per yard for these rolls is pretty great for how usable the product is. Cons: This tape behaves abnormally because it has so much adhesive. It smells REALLY bad. And no matter what you do pulling the tape will cause stress lines to appear everywhere so it can harm presentation. The tape will never look completely clear. The thickness is advertised as 3.2 mil but in the hand it feels flimsier than Scotch HDs 3.1 mil. Overall a 4.5/5 but round to 5 for amazing value. It works similar to Scotch HD and its decisively better than most generic store tapes. I taped a test box and set it aside, will update if the tape comes undone in storage. Update: I wanted immediate test results so I took a small 44 ECT box, taped it as I normally would (lots) and tried bursting the box open. As expected putting weights on top of the box didnt really do anything. I had to punch the box multiple times to get it open and the tape never even ripped. Good enough for me! Update2: Downgrading my rating to 4 stars. I packaged several boxes and had no problems. Test box is still taped together well. I discovered the fume problem gets worse when youre actively using the tape. When youre constantly reeling a roll the entire room is filled with this noxious smell. You can also faintly smell the tape when its already attached to a box. Ive never had tape do that before. I honestly wouldnt want to be the recipient of my own boxes. I agree with another reviewer, Tape King works really well but this smell cant be good for you.

> 3 dayWho would think writing a review on packing tape. I just received. Very quickly. And it is great! Nice and thick and sturdy. In the past, the packing tapes I have used have been thin, so when I would use with my packing gun, it would slide right through and not adhere where I would want the tape to stop and cut it. It would just continue rolling on. Very frustrating and a waste of tape. And the gun was sharp. Was not the gun. I just packed a box and what a pleasure using this tape. When I stopped the tape to cut it, it cut right where I wanted it. Plus it’s so much thicker. And the price was great.

Greater than one weekI was in the packaging industry for 30 years and I know about tape. Do not get fooled purchasing the low cost tape with out knowing what your buying. Most tapes sold in the stores are 2 mil thick and the Tapeking I purchased is 3.2 mil thick. This means the 3.2 mil tape hold heavier loads without using twice the tape. Now that is a money saver. One other thing, you will pay more for a 3.2 mil thick tape in the stores so buy it on line from TapeKing it works! This is not an add, I use it and happy with it.

> 3 dayI used these for packing a ton of cardboard and plastic boxes for moving. The tape is sturdy and performs about as well as the brandnames more familiar to us--which means that you have to take a second to smooth/push the tape down for it to stick well. The tape is not as sticky as I would have liked but I made no head to head comparisons so maybe my expectations are too high. I used a tape gun and this tape fit easily and I had no issues (except those related to the tape gun itself). One nice thing about the tape being a little thicker is that it was always easy to find the edge on the roll. Also, the tape never split lengthwise for me. I would give this a four and a half instead of a five but am rounding up today.

14-06-2025Value wise, you get a lot of tape for your dollar. Performance wise it would be better. It smells odd, it has some weird artifacts(squiggles, lines, bubbles) that I dont get with name brand tapes and it is LOUD to get off of the roll. You do get a bunch of rolls for your dollar spent however so I cant fault the value, but I will be going with a different tape in the future.

> 3 day...and just half price. I put both side by side, sturdy and adhesive. 3M is just totally clear.
